I took a shot of this old barn on my way home from a day of fantastic picture taking. The ladder leaning against the barn really caught my eye. / / Visit my website On The Rock Photography

Frost on an old running shoe sitting on a snow bank. 1 half of the pair I used in garden and I left them outside because they were muddy. Later in the winter when I was shoveling snow I dug this one up and left it on top of the snow. A few days later there was a heavy frost and I when out to take photos of it when I spotted this frosty shoe thought it would made a neat picture. Looks to be an old out of use LDS church. It is off of hwy 20, on the way to Sun Valley, Idaho. I have passed and thought of stopping to shoot this on several occasions but today in the snow covered prarie it called out….........”B&W”! / So I stopped.

Watercolour 18” x 24” on Arches cold pressed paper This was a commission for a friend who is now building a new cabin to replace this one. The orange hut is a sauna. Located at the north end of Lyne Lake just west of Schreiber, Ontario on the north shore of Lake Superior. / This is what the cabin looked like in March when I went to visit it by snowmobile.
Winter just came to an end in Melbourne and the weather is already showing signs of improvement. Trees have blossomed back into life and everything is feeling a lot less icy than it was a month ago. Summer is an awesome time to be living in Melbourne. Festivals, activity, birthdays, Christmas and new years all make up 3 of the best months to be alive! The original photo of a tree is my own, from a shoot in the city. The texture was taken from www.deviantart.com, specifically from here. Colour altering and slight darkening of original image. I took this photo last year in Upstate NY. My calico cat, Little Bear had never seen snow before and these were her tracks. After watching her walk through the snow and towards the sunlight I felt that she was like me wanting that warm Florida sun. Living in Florida for the first 9+ years of her life snow was NOT something she was a fan of… and NEITHER AM I…lol…:) I am moving back home to Florida next month! YIPPEE!! Needless to say… I most likely will not be taking any more snow photos for a VERY VERY VERY VERY long time! This is Little Bear.. now 10 1/2 years old.
Shot 2 days ago. I have photographed this palace many time before but the light was so beautiful I had to stop and take one more. When asked “why dont you tear that place down just a pile of junk?” the farmer who owns the land said ” you know, this is the favorite place for all photographers”.glitter
