This is about the third illustration I’ve ever done and I thought it turned out pretty well. It’s actually the first I’ve ever coloured so feedback is loved!! :P
A sepia toned version of my old wagon.
I finally found the tractor I have been looking for. I saw this old antique from the road and thankfully had my camera in tow. I braved the 3 feet of snow and frigid Newfoundland winds but I finally got my shot I’d been waiting to get. / / Visit my website On The Rock Photography / /
Bodie Ghost Town in the Seirra Nevada Mountains in Eastern California. This 1800’s Gold town once had a thriving population of 10,000 people. It was a true wild western town with gun fights, saloons and a huge redlight district.
Personal collection. Oil on canvas. This didn’t end up saying what was intended. I started with an old black and white depression era photo and intended to make a statement about how unprepared we all are for what faces us environmentally, economically, and politically. Unfortunately, it ended up just being an interesting picture. I was disappointed.

Two little boys, their red wagon and lots of gatherings with family and friends in the backyard.
We have a tourist attraction in our town called Bonazaville. It is a old town recreated from about the early 1800 up to the early 1900’s. They have old wagons, cars, planes, and fire trucks. I was out taking pictures during the special event day they call “Pioneer Days” where people dress up in period costumes and they have a parade. While walking the grounds I came across this old wagon. It must have been a much simpler life back then. . Processed as a HDR it would make a beautiful card or picture to hang on any wall. This old wagon is located in the settlement area of Cades Cove located in the Great Smoky Mountains. I was lucky enough to be hanging out with Lori Walton and her husband Don, just walking around, absorbing the moment, as people shuffled by. I shot this in sepia because I wanted to give the feel I felt as I was looking at it. Something about the aroma of the old wood along w/ the shed, as you inhale it, sends you back to a time when it was at it’s highest peak, working the fields, delivering goods and transporting the family. So shooting it in sepia was the only way I could really portray the feeling I get everytime I go to this area. I shot this in Sepia Mode set on my camera / Was in SS priority / SS at 1/125 / Fstop at F8 / ISO at 400 / Focal Length at 17mm / Exposure Comp at 0
Found this old rusty wagon near Coolamine Homestead in Kosciuszko National Park. We went up specifically to see Coolamine and Blue Waterholes and stumbled upon this relic while looking for a good angle to shoot the homestead!

Found this old cart wheel chained to a building…... guarding against pesky wheel thieves I guess….... [Canon EOS 1000D] Featured – Canon DSLR group – March 2009 Top Ten Finish – Weathered Wood challenge – April 2009
Featured in Tulips – June 15, 2009 My poor old dilapidated wagon wheels seem to fall further apart as the years go by. Today I noticed they make beautiful natural frames for some Tulips in one of my flower beds, so off I went to photograph them. So they are still good for something. / / Canon EOS Digital Rebel XTi

A vintage wagon is slowly being reclaimed by the elements. These strong old horse drawn wagons enabled the West to be opened up by early settlers and played a key part in the everyday life of the 1800’s.

Gunslingers of the old west had two major concerns, their safety in the here-and-now, and their proper burial for the hereafter. A good undertaking could be had for around 20-dollars, a truly heroic coffin and grave would run about a hundred bucks.
