  • My apologies for having no originality in flower choice but as you can see, I love my plain old dandelions! Anyway, in this image there are 3 stages of flower from the same plant, the bud, the flower and the post-flower fairy which to me are like 3 generations. I chose the layers and treatment to reflect all 3 generations by being aged yet still bright and not faded. / Have sold 1 x laminated print.

  • This image is the 1st in a series of 3….. My inspiration behind this are all the lovely wedding images that I see; full of hope, happiness and love, but as we all know the divorce rate is very high and unfortunately many of the beautiful and happy couples divorce… It makes me wonder how would these couples feel if they knew that a few years down the road and a couple of children later, their union would end in divorce. These are the emotions I have tried to capture and portray in my series. And I would like to add a huge thank you to my model and best friend who was also my inspiration as she too recently divorced but was still brave enough to get back into her beautiful wedding dress for this shoot.

  • Here’s another portrait of my favourite little muse…

  • This one is some what experimental.. Wasn’t sure where I was heading with it but it does represent one of the simplest plants we know.. Wheat….It’s so simple and has been a staple food, well, forever! This image represents it’s timeless quality.

  • June 26th How excited I am! Tomorrow is my birthday, and my sisters have told me that Papa will be arriving first thing, and that he has a very special treat in store for me. Naturally since learning of this, I have been at pains to discover what awaits me. Yet to my utter dismay, when I try to interrogate my sisters , they will only say that they are sworn to secrecy, then glance at one another and burst into infuriating giggles. I feel that if I am to succeed in my endeavour to extract the necessary information before morning, I must first get to each of them separately, then use all the cunning and ingenuity inherited from my beloved father. What springs immediately to mind, is to adopt the guile of one of Nature’s predators and pursue the weaker of the pack. Knowing as I do of Audrey’s great fondness for fruit bonbons, I shall arm myself with said items, and make my way to her bedchamber this very evening. Let us see how long her lips remain sealed when such delightful confection is offered in exchange for her secrets!

  • An accompaniment to Going Nowhere / It is a combination of two photographs and four textures…from memory. / The main location was Edgeworth, Newcastle, NSW. (the shed is from the farm in Tumut)

  • The mist around the trees was so beautiful yesterday morning, and everything felt so peaceful, I couldn’t resist a couple of textures and overlays to help create the feeling. Original photograph with grunge texture overlay, colour and levels adjustments. Featured in Red Bubble Home Page, April 2009

  • Having tried the flower in a waterdrop photo, after getting Madam (aged nearly 9!) home from school, I took this picture in the evening sun, thought I better not waste the pretty little bloom! TEXTURE

  • I recently got an intuos tablet. / This is the first “real” thing I’ve created while using it. / Other then this I’ve just been scribbling and trying to get used to using it. / I’m pretty excited about it!

  • Wycoller is a delightful Lancashire village about 4 miles East of Colne, and is slowly being brought back to life after years of abandonment. In 1948 “The Friends of Wycoller” were established in an effort to preserve Wycoller village and the hall. Lancashire County council bought the land from the Water Board in 1973 and the beautiful village and surrounding countryside were designated a country park.

Best Viewed On Full Size It’s got that “Nobody’s Home” look … Back in the day when we wanted to visit, we tightened up our pincurls, tied our robes tight, slipped into our slippers, grabbed our coffee and walked next door. Although this wonderful old abandoned farm house is stuck out in the middle of (apparent) nowhere … it’s right smack dab ON route 30 just a bit west of Chambersburg, PA … and I like to think that the farm wives did visit back and forth, too. Image taken with the Nikon D300 and the 18-200mm vr Nikon lens on a bright and sunny, blue-skied July 12, 2009. Shutter 1/640, aperture f/11.0, exp -.33, iso 500. Post included Phun With Photoshop, levels, dodging, burning, selective coloring, in other words, the works, then addition of textures. Best on Full Size This little copper kettle was on an ancient wood stove, located in one of the log cabins at Old Bedford Village in Bedford, PA. One of the interesting things about this wonderful village is the buildings and accessories are authentic to their time periods. It is my understanding that the homes and barns and churches are not reproductions, but are actual, once-working structures that have been moved to Old Bedford Village . Image taken wih the Nikon D300 and the 18-200mm vr Nikon lens. Shutter speed 1/10, aperture f/13.0, exp. -.33, iso 1000. No flash, natural light. Post processing included the addition of three textures in Photoshop, a light Orton technique and dodging and burning. Textures courtesy of Princess of Shadows at Deviant Art and Ghostbones on Flickr.
