This shot was taken in Copacabana in 2006, a little town in the north of Bolivia, situated on the bank of Lake Titicaca, the highest navigable lake in the world at 3800 mts. / There was a big celebration in town that day and so much to see and discover. But I was so tired that I decided to sit down and rest for a while when those two men sat just in front of me. I took so many pictures of them but this one is my favorite.

This is an old school bell at a rural school. It is still being used to signal the change of lessons.
Copacabana , Bolivia ! This picture was taken minutes after I took several shots of two old men sitting on the same step while I was resting a bit. Sometime interesting things comes around… /
This man Pablo, brought me to his home in Taquile Island in the middle of lake Titikaka, He is a part of the “Aymara” a native ethnic group in the Andes and Altiplano regions of South America; about 2.3 million live in Bolivia, Peru, Northern Chile, and Northwestern Argentina. They lived in the region for many centuries before becoming a subject people of the Inca, and later of the Spanish in the 16th century. / The Aymara have existed in the Andes in what is now Bolivia (and, to a lesser extent, Peru) for over 2,000 years, according to some estimates. It is most likely that the Inca had a strong influence over the Aymara region for some time. Though conquered by the Inca, the Aymara retained some degree of autonomy under the empire. There were a number of ethnic groups which were later to be known Aymara by the Spanish. These were divided upon different chieftaincies. Upon arrival of the Spanish, all these groups were spread in what today is Bolivia. / Most present day Aymara-speakers live in the Lake Titicaca basin beginning in Lake Titicaca through Desaguadero River and into Lake Poopo (Oruro) also known as the Altiplano, and are concentrated south of the lake. The present urban center of the Aymara region is El Alto, a 750,000-person city near the Bolivian capital La Paz. / The native language of the Aymara is also named Aymara; in addition, many Aymara speak Spanish, which is the dominant language of the countries in which they live, as a second language. Something a little different from me here. A3 shot HDR of the old Convent, Penola Road Mt Gambier this afternoon with powerful stormy clouds in the background. When processing this the effects were quite different than my normal HDR’s but I liked the outcome even though it is almost comic book style. Thought I’d throw it up here for comment both good and bad to see what others think. Not something I’d like to do often but the different style interested me. This old wooden fence was taken in the Adelaide Hills, Oakbank, South Australia, Australia. This was taken with a Canon DSLR EOS 350D camera. I recently made a sale on redbubble with this shot. I sold a medium laminated print in white with artist’s details to a dear friend, Natz, in the UK. Many thanks Natz.
Arequipa, Peru ! She is one of the many old people I have photographed in Arequipa coping the hard reality of poverty and solitude, but I remember her in particular among a few more.. / I observed her often… She was always so sweet and polite and looking at her can only make you feel a sense of tenderness ! . .
Like carpet, the purpose has been pulled under the existence of the old bush hut at the end of the railway line.

Cusco, Peru´! El Cafe Extra is the place I like more in Cusco ! / Nice and quite, welcomes tourists and local people ! / There are stories about Pablo Neruda and Che Guevara enjoying the nice coffee here when they visited the city…!!! / Not sure it´s true, but what I´m sure is that coffee here, locally produced, really taste great..! / Mr Castro is one of the many regulars, he is nice and friendly although he gets deep in thoughts sometimes ! / I love his face and expression! this is one of the many shot I took during one of the many breakfasts at El Cafe´ Extra !
One of my personal favorites. This picture taken in a rodeo (during the lasso tournament) in the south of Brazil. The cowboys are called “gauchos”, and this one is dressed typically. This type of large trousers are called “bombachas”. Captured at 300mm in negative film and then scanned.

Blossom’s_Photo_Gallery Country Road on way to Mann River Nature Reserve Nestled amongst magnificent mountain scenery east of the Great Dividing Range in the north of New South Wales, is a lovely and little-known part of the Mann River. It is an area of great interest to naturalists, bushwalkers and photographers. The park is located 48 km east of Glen Innes, 129 km west of Grafton. Turn off the Gwydir Highway onto the old Glen Innes-Grafton road. Take this road between the park and Grafton for a scenic alternative, however it includes 120 km of unsealed road not suitable for caravans. Old Grafton Road, Rural New South Wales, Australia.

Cusco 2006 !
This looks to be an old shearing shed of sorts but also looks to be the house as there are fire places inside (I doubt the shearer would need a roaring fire while he was at work!). / This building is on the road between Mannum and walker Flat in South Australia. / . / / . / / . / / . / / . / / . /
Taken at Captains Cottage Museum in Murray Bridge. I thought their grouping altogether was just marvelous – producing lots of lines. I wondered if they were used by the same workman, or were collected from various different places.
