  • This is an old school bell at a rural school. It is still being used to signal the change of lessons.

  • Cusco 2006 !

  • This shot was taken in Copacabana in 2006, a little town in the north of Bolivia, situated on the bank of Lake Titicaca, the highest navigable lake in the world at 3800 mts. / There was a big celebration in town that day and so much to see and discover. But I was so tired that I decided to sit down and rest for a while when those two men sat just in front of me. I took so many pictures of them but this one is my favorite. Click /

  • Copacabana , Bolivia ! This picture was taken minutes after I took several shots of two old men sitting on the same step while I was resting a bit. Sometime interesting things comes around… /

  • Small Dancer letting the photographer know he was no pushover.

  • This man Pablo, brought me to his home in Taquile Island in the middle of lake Titikaka, He is a part of the “Aymara” a native ethnic group in the Andes and Altiplano regions of South America; about 2.3 million live in Bolivia, Peru, Northern Chile, and Northwestern Argentina. They lived in the region for many centuries before becoming a subject people of the Inca, and later of the Spanish in the 16th century. / The Aymara have existed in the Andes in what is now Bolivia (and, to a lesser extent, Peru) for over 2,000 years, according to some estimates. It is most likely that the Inca had a strong influence over the Aymara region for some time. Though conquered by the Inca, the Aymara retained some degree of autonomy under the empire. There were a number of ethnic groups which were later to be known Aymara by the Spanish. These were divided upon different chieftaincies. Upon arrival of the Spanish, all these groups were spread in what today is Bolivia. / Most present day Aymara-speakers live in the Lake Titicaca basin beginning in Lake Titicaca through Desaguadero River and into Lake Poopo (Oruro) also known as the Altiplano, and are concentrated south of the lake. The present urban center of the Aymara region is El Alto, a 750,000-person city near the Bolivian capital La Paz. / The native language of the Aymara is also named Aymara; in addition, many Aymara speak Spanish, which is the dominant language of the countries in which they live, as a second language. • This old wooden fence was taken in the Adelaide Hills, Oakbank, South Australia, Australia. This was taken with a Canon DSLR EOS 350D camera. I recently made a sale on redbubble with this shot. I sold a medium laminated print in white with artist’s details to a dear friend, Natz, in the UK. Many thanks Natz.

  • Like carpet, the purpose has been pulled under the existence of the old bush hut at the end of the railway line.

  • Cusco, Peru´! El Cafe Extra is the place I like more in Cusco ! / Nice and quite, welcomes tourists and local people ! / There are stories about Pablo Neruda and Che Guevara enjoying the nice coffee here when they visited the city…!!! / Not sure it´s true, but what I´m sure is that coffee here, locally produced, really taste great..! / Mr Castro is one of the many regulars, he is nice and friendly although he gets deep in thoughts sometimes ! / I love his face and expression! this is one of the many shot I took during one of the many breakfasts at El Cafe´ Extra !

  • Something a little different from me here. A3 shot HDR of the old Convent, Penola Road Mt Gambier this afternoon with powerful stormy clouds in the background. When processing this the effects were quite different than my normal HDR’s but I liked the outcome even though it is almost comic book style. Thought I’d throw it up here for comment both good and bad to see what others think. Not something I’d like to do often but the different style interested me. Canon 400D – 18- 55 lens at 22 CIR polarising filter, processed in Photomatix.

  • You know where, and I’ll tell you when … we will meet again.

  • Arequipa, Peru ! One of the many old people coping the hard reality of poverty and solitude in Latin America after leaving small villages and hoping for a better life in bigger city ! Also view Sweet Mamasita .

  • A very very still night a few weeks ago at Brighton Beach, South Australia. 30 secs at f4.

  • Arequipa, Peru ! She is one of the many old people I have photographed in Arequipa coping the hard reality of poverty and solitude, but I remember her in particular… / She was always so sweet and polite making me always feel a sense of tenderness ! . .

  • This was taken in Santiago, Chile, at the same place Walk Alone was captured. The building is in Santa Lucia Park, in the heart of Santiago city. It is built on a hill, with steep pathways and stairs leading up to a 360 degree incredible viewpoint of the Andes Mountains which surround Santiago. This is my first attempt at playing with textures. The original photo below, is one I have always wanted to use, never did due to the lens flare at the top of the shot. Added a few layers of texture and faded out most of the colour. I first thought of the Hanging Gardens Of Babylon when I finished this one. • Did you ever visit a place where you completely forget what year it is now? Once we walked through the front gate of the brewery we thought we stepped into 1850s. I would call it The Time Machine of Goulburn city. You walk in and for $5.20 it takes you 150 years back (tastings included). Built in the middle of 19 century it is one of the oldest surviving breweries in Australia. Beautiful place, with a lot of history in it and it is history that can be seen, touched and photographed. And the best part – it is a working brewery where good old traditional ale is still produced. This was a situation where I wished I had a wider lens than my universal Nikon 18-200mm. The window was very close to a wall and it was hard to fill the frame. I managed to find a little square of space on the stairs leading to the 2nd floor and set up my tripod there. Next steps were easy: 3 RAW merged in HDR, then tonemapped and post-processed. From my photoblog at http://www.bouncedphoton.com This print is available with 0% markup. Please enjoy and thank you for your visit!
