I finally found the tractor I have been looking for. I saw this old antique from the road and thankfully had my camera in tow. I braved the 3 feet of snow and frigid Newfoundland winds but I finally got my shot I’d been waiting to get. / / Visit my website On The Rock Photography / /

You know these trees already from my misty beech-tree shot. On Easter Monday we had snow here. It made me take another look at them. I hope you like this shot too. Taken near Hilversum/The Netherlands, 24th March 2008, 8.42 am / Nikkon D 80, 18-200 mm at 56 mm / F 10, 1/25, ISO 100 And here a shot taken just about one year later: Here the misty shot taken earlier:
I took a shot of this old barn on my way home from a day of fantastic picture taking. The ladder leaning against the barn really caught my eye. / / Visit my website On The Rock Photography

Driving back from Kiandra NSW and came across this old shearing shed outside Adaminaby. I couldn’t pull the car up fast enough to snap a pic! Best viewed larger
I don’t know why I have winter on the mind, but it was enough that it made me want to make a winter picture. If anyone has any suggestions for a title, that would be great, because I’m having a blank. Like all of the work I put on Redbubble. This piece took a long time to finish. I always take my time with important illustrations, especially if I want people to purchase them. The mountains alone took well over 4 hours to complete. I changed them many many times. They could’ve been an illustration by themselves cuz there’s so much detail in them. The idea behind this piece is loosely based on the fact that I never want to give up on my passions in life. Don’t let the fear of failure stop you from pursuing your life’s goals. You don’t want to look back and have regrets. They will haunt you forever….those things you told yourself you always wanted to do will become your ghosts. You cannot run away from your passion/s in life. Further more this illustration is a reminder to me. A personal mission statement built into an illustration. It is me in the illustration…something I never want to become. Drawn on A3 Copy Paper, Colored in Photoshop CS3 with Wacom Detail: /

Looks to be an old out of use LDS church. It is off of hwy 20, on the way to Sun Valley, Idaho. I have passed and thought of stopping to shoot this on several occasions but today in the snow covered prarie it called out….........”B&W”! / So I stopped.
A view of the North Carolina Blue Ridge mountains from Lake Tahoma near the town of Marion. THe snow covered peaks in the upper left hand corner are the Seven Sisters and Mt. Mitchell. / THe lake was built in the 1920s real estate “boom” as a luxury development. The old building on the lake was a casino where well known bands performed regularly for dances. The 1929 stock market crash ended the development. Now the lake is owned by current property owners. THe casino has been renovated and is used for private special events. Nikon D50 /

Best on Full Size I’m always fascinated by architecture … especially that which has seen better days. The stories these buildings could tell!!! This wonderful old stairway is located to the side of Dilbert’s General Merchandise which, it is my understanding, is soon to be torn down. It is located in Pavia, Pennsylvania, just off route 869. I took this hand-held image on February 22, 2009, in freezing temps during a light snowstorm with the Nikon D40x and the 18-200mm vr Nikon lens. Shutter was 1/125, aperture was 5.6, exp was .33, iso was 400. Post processing included hdr in Photomatix from 3 duplicated images at -/+2 eval. Companion piece to Dilbert’s General Merchandise
