this is an imaginary bike shop with the window filled with all the graphics I’ve been doing as tee shirt placement prints. It’s a big canvas and i’ve also put lots of the little logo graphics everywhere as “brands” being sold in the shop. It’s being used as an add in magazines and as our webpage for Apres Velo. / I”ve tried to make it look sepia and old but with the new stuff in bright colours to contrast. As always the all important FW steaming in foreground which is what all us cyclists long for at the end of the ride, the legs to stop spinning and the lips start sipping.
Another portrait of the octogenarian barber Tom, still working at 88.
Old commercial spools of thread in brass pot.
I took this shot today while I was at Enniskillen Orchard in the Grose Vale region of the Hawkesbury district.. / The orchard is located on the Sydney Farm Gate Trail. It is a wonderful place and the nostalgic country-style shed really sets the scene for an orchard.. / Hopefully one day soon I will get the opportunity to photograph some of the wonderful sights that can be found in the orchard itself.. / I would definitely have to encourage anyone passing through, or living in, the Hawkesbury to drop in and try some of the local produce, it is a great place.. / I couldnt really think of a title for this one so any suggestions would be great, and as usual comments are more then welcome :) / Thanks for having a look!! PRETTY OLD
A portrait of Merv, a volunteer at the Blacksmith Shop, Angaston in the Barossa Valley.
Wandering through the back streets of the old town was heavenly, at every turn there were wonders to behold, the long things hanging outside the shop are actually candles.
Couldn’t resist this old, abandoned building in Williamstown, Melbourne. Not a straight line to be seen, peeling paint, graffiti – and such character! /
Here i went to repair my flat tyre..what a great shop this was and i love that green wall too , Rajahstan, India

A view of a typical city street scene from Sant Agata in Sicily. / / This was the final image captured by my much loved Sony Alpha 100 :( / I’ve since been told by a photographic repairer in Palermo that it would cost quite a bit of money to repair and it may be better to buy something new. / After a few days of contemplation (and living without a camera for the first time in God knows how long)... can you guess what i did? / / hehe! / / Of course I bought a new one!! ;p / Peace peeps! / / Art Folders… / / Entire Portfolio / Born From This Earth – Series / Hearts At War / Vehicular works / Architecture / Travel / B&W Photography / Transitional Industrial Utopian Series / Abstract / Models and Fashion Photography

As I walked up the very steep hill towards the castle and ‘old town’ Lincoln, England, I came across this cross roads of old shops, a pub, and houses. You could sense that this had been area of community life at one time. The history this place has seen exists only in the mists of time, captured by the imaginations of those few who choose to listen to the stories and dare to dream. For me, on this foggy day, for a moment I was transported in time in my mind to the victorian time with the bustle of the industrial age! This is a HDR of three bracketed shots. Detail of wall in an old boilermaker workshop, Damascus, Syria. / PUBLISHED in Soura Magazine Issue 26 / Summer 2009.
This shop has been there for a while. Looking on the signs and ad stands I would make a guess it is in business for 40 years or more at the same address. The inside is even more impressive. Space there is highly organized. You would not find a little square of surface being empty for no reason. Most of the wall shelving is filled with sewing accessories: needles, threads, bobbins, foot attachments, lubricants, manuals, cables. Floor and stairs are orderly covered with machines of different brands, years of manufacture, sizes and, I suppose, prices. In between there are walking paths wide enough to fit a single person. If there are 2 people on a path, one of them will need to get in a small pocket to allow other one to pass. / Gentleman sitting outside near Singer is waiting for his sewing machine to be repaired. Tonemapped HDR out of a single RAW taken handheld. This was the sign of a chocolate store in Rundle Mall, Adelaide. It had so much nostalgic charm to it, couldn’t help myself. Whenever I see an old chocolate shop, I can’t help but think of Charlie & The Choc Factory. There is a sinister side to that movie, and the original novel too. I wanted that to come through on this. Abandoned and run down, post Willy Wonka, what happens to a place that looks happy, but is in fact, not?
