Atop the pitch of the church of St John’s Wagga Wagga, NSW, Australia, sits a cross. Not an ordinary, plain and simple cross. Nor is it a roman or celtic cross. In fact, it is unlike any cross I have seen anywhere in the world, (although there’s a good chance I wasn’t looking). The church, built 150 years ago, bears some of the hallmarks of that era. This old and ornate cross is one of them. / However, it is a symbol of not only the Christian faith, but of the dedication and faithful service of the generations who have worshipped in this place and taken their faith beyond the church door, the ornate and beautiful building, into the world and their local community to make a difference. / They built their faith, but also lived it. And we, the generations who have come after those original Church builders, are the beneficiaries.
Apparently vultures have excellent eye sight, so I’m guessing that they were able to read that my “best before” date has passed. Or is it that I’ve just been kinda rotten lately? Perhaps they recognize an old guy getting too close to the edge. Any other ideas you can offer??? :) :) Model and image designer: the antlerless mooseman / Photographer: My amazing CanDu partner, Thea Walstra

Yesterday, we had our Dutch RB-meeting in Breda, Holland. / After a few cappucino’s or some beer, we went for a walk trough the old city, visited a ‘Begijnenhof’ (beguinage) and a beautiful park. At the entrance of this park, we passed a beautiful chapel. Camera: Canon Powershot S3 IS
