Mr.Roland died two days after I took that picture,he was a realy good friend and I use to tease him a lot.He was blind but always recognised me because he knew my voice«Ah!....« Gigi de St-Hippolyte»he used to say , holding my hand.He never asked for much only to organised his meal in a way he could easily eat by himself and to give him his chaplet for the ceremony on sundays.A great person , very generous and smiling all the time.The worst part for him was not being able to go to the bathroom ,I think that idea killed him ,he was so proud.He died very peacefully with her daughter and son ,hand in hand .The hand you see in the picture is his son’s .Let’s say that if I wasn’t passionnate about my job I couldn’t do it . / /

This morning was a gorgeous morning to be up and about…. 5AM and I was wondering the rocks of North Narrabeen in just a T-shirt. Not a cloud in the sky, not a puff of wind, hardly a swell in sight. Not the best conditions for seascape photography, but a lovely morning to be up and about enjoying the Spring weather. Did manage to take this photo of North Narrabeen Rock Pool. Love the old textured planks around the pool.

The brother and sister recognized River from last fall and they both came to say “hello”. The “brand-new” fawn followed suit as her brother and sister seemed to know us and thought of us as “friends”. :) Before they circled my overjoyed dog and they all ran off together, they first make sure that they got their spring morning “family photo” taken. :) Donation to charity / 50% of the proceeds of the sale of this image will be donated to Algonquin Park

I don’t know what it is about old worn out things, but they just make me feel so hmmm comfortable would be a good word for it. They make me peaceful and calm, they tell me their story, they have the ability to capture a piece of time inside of them, they are just so much more than just old and useless to me. So I found a photo on the internet of this old Pontiac and it just said “PAINT ME”, so I did. I was a rough start, could not get into the feeling at first, so I let it rest for the night and this morning completed it. The 3d texture really brought out the rust on the car. So I hope you like it as much as I did making it ;-) Oh if you have by any change photo of these beautiful oldtimers or old motorcycles laying around, especially if they are old and rusty, please send me a copy if you like. I would be much obliged ;-) Also if you know some of these beauties in your surrounding laying around, could you make a photo for me. Where I live you will hardly ever find cars like these.
