Driving along this almost deserted highway we spotted this Love heart, somewhere between Uluru and Kings Canyon. An amazing piece of work, literally in the middle of nowhere. Hence the title, Love is all around…even in the middle of nowhere….. A thundering of hooves heralded the horse herd running over the hill towards us in the pre-dawn light on Old Yabba Station.
This is what is left of the old pier at Eucla, in the middle of the Nullarbor at the peak of the Great Australian Bight. In years gone by this was the lifeline for the nearby outback telegraph station which has now been largely consumed by the sand dunes. ~ / Browse Images by Category : Snow Landscape Nature Urban

Whilst competing in a Rogaine in SW Western Australia my mate and I stumbled upon a deserted farmhouse and out buildings. Because we were camping overnight in roughly the same area I managed to get back the next morning to get a few shots. I only hope I can find my way back there as there are lots of shots to be made.
Old truck on a flood plain , rusting away back of Bourke NSW Australia
I wonder who it was that left this beautiful old car behind in the middle of no where? This mystery is what I love about these old wrecks, so many bits and pieces taken from the old girl, maybe to help another breakdown get going again? This beautiful wreck was about 50 klms out of Mildura, on the way to Mungo National Park, on the unsealed and rough road. Canon 50D, 15mm. Available large, and best viewed large!

This is a TtV image (Through the Viewfinder), using the alternative photographic technique of composing the image through an old twin reflex (Yashica 635) camera and taking the picture with a dslr camera.

Rusting corrugated tank, corrugated iron shed, weathered timber, angles, lines….... texture paradise!! / I found this while passing through an odd little NSW country town which goes by the name of “Legume”. I’m not sure why it’s named so….. there wasn’t a legume in sight. [Thanks to Ghostbones for the great texture overlay] Featured – Metallic Junction – October 2009
I love rusted-out old beasties, and during a visit to the Northern Goldfields of Western Australia, around Kookynie, we came across this old beauty. I’m told it’s a Ford Jailbar….. This photo appeared in the featured art & photography section of redbubble on December 4, 2009.
