  • Eye Of The Storm I
    by Gregory Ewanowich

    US$3.42–US$91.20

Couldn’t sleep again and I couldn’t get this idea out of my head till I tried to get it out on this image. It”s a combined piece of two photos taken the past couple of days; one being a partial self portrait and the other a shot out in my yard of a storm brewing over the mountains. I used multiple layers and filters and adjustments till I got what I saw in my head. This one has been converted to B&W and I will upload a color version as well.

    US$3.42–US$91.20

Here is a shot of the lunar eclipse on Feb.20/2008 looking east across the city of Kelowna.Taken from up on the mountain side on the west side of Okanogan Lake. It was a bright clear night and I was able to get some great shots.

  • Dead Calm
    by Gregory Ewanowich

    US$3.42–US$91.20

This photo was taken early in the day before all the tourists and beach goers arrived in Bertram Creek Park. The water was like glass with not a breeze to be seen. One almost felt as though they could just walk right out on the glassy water. Looking north up Okanogan Lake and the city of Kelowna on the right.

  • I took this photo about 4pm this afternoon out in my yard. I did some editing in PS with layers and adjustments and this was the result. I actually did not have to do much to the raw photo but it really turned out spectacular! Photo taken Jan.5/2008

  • Okanogan Sunset
    by Gregory Ewanowich

    US$3.71–US$98.80

The sun was setting on a perfect summer day and as I drove down the road towards the lakeshore I just had to pull over and take this shot. No editing was done. This is the raw image. Photo taken June 28/2008, looking west across the valley.

  • God's Glory
    by Gregory Ewanowich

    US$3.42–US$91.20

Another of the sunset photo’s taken this afternoon from my side yard. Jan.5/2008,looking south over Okanogan Mountain Park. I’m not sure if any of you remember but in 2003 we had a very intense forest fire on this mountain that burned for a number of days. It was a devastating fire that destroyed 256 homes and caused over 30,000 people to be evacuated. The fire burned all along the mountainside for well over twelve miles and over the ridges down the backside of the mountains. It destroyed everything in it’s path. Flames were shooting hundreds of feet in the air and could be seen from miles away. The smoke was so bad you could hardly breath for days on end. / If you look closely you can still see the bare patches in places where all the forest was destroyed. The fire started at the south point of the park from a single lightening strike and spread very quickly. Then when we all thought it was going to get even worse, and the flames were jumping sometimes two miles ahead of the main blaze due to high winds and hot temperatures, suddenly a small rain storm blew across from the southwest and it rained hard for about fifteen minutes, just in the right places, and the fire practically went out, enough so that it was quickly brought under control, and no more houses were lost. It was amazing to watch and see this happen! It didn’t rain anywhere else except where it was really needed. Truly a miracle! Not one life was lost and the community really showed it’s true heart and came together as a whole to support our people and make sure everyone was taken care of. / I lived on a ranch on that mountainside as a teenager right where some of the worst damage was done. The ranch called the “M7 Ranch” had been sold off and subdivided after we moved away from that area and many big, beautiful homes had been built there. Thankfully most of the area has now been rebuilt and thousands of new trees have been planted on the mountainside. It will take time but the area will come back to it’s former beauty eventually.

    by Gregory Ewanowich

    US$3.42–US$91.20

Another view of the sunset over Okanogan Lake on June 28/2008. The colors and the light were so amazing on this evening.

  • God's Country
    by Gregory Ewanowich

    US$3.42–US$91.20

  • Coldstream Valley
    by Gregory Ewanowich

    US$3.42–US$91.20

This is a picture of the North end of Kalmalka Lake, looking north east out the Coldstream Valley towards the Monashee Mountain Range in the far distance. Taken Feb.19/2008 As you can see this lake is not frozen over as it’s sister,Woods lake to the south which is kind of strange. Maybe it has something to do with the depth. It was a bit hazy but a beautiful day in the Okanogan Valley with clear blue skies and warming temperatures.

  • This is probably one of the first water wells ever dug in the Okanogan Valley and sits pretty much in the center of the Mission. The Prother’s house sits in the background. Photo Taken at the Father Pandosy Mission, FEb.26/2008

  • Giant's Head
    by Gregory Ewanowich

    US$3.42–US$91.20

This is Giant’s Head Mountain in Summerland,B.C.,Canada. I took the photo yesterday Mar.18/2008. Summerland is situated about 30 miles south of Kelowna on the west side of Okanogan Lake. / There is a provincial park on the top of this mountain that has some great views of the lake and Okanogan Valley but it is closed in the winter so I was unable to go up to the park. It should open soon though and I will try and get down there for the day. It’s a beautiful spot for a picnic.

  • Lonesome Sailor
    by Gregory Ewanowich

    US$3.42–US$91.20

It was a bit of a stormy day today as I set off down the west side of Okanogan Lake headed north to Fintry Estate, when I spotted this lone Sailboat out on the lake. As you can see there is fresh snow on the mountainsides and it was in fact trying to snow when I stopped to take this photo. Looking south, with the Westbank First Nations reserve land in the background. It started to warm up shortly after this photo was taken and the sun came out to play. Photo taken Mar.21/2008

  • Rocky Shores
    by Gregory Ewanowich

    US$3.42–US$91.20

This is Okanogan lake at Bertram Creek Park and in this particular spot the mountains side juts into the water making for a very rocky shoreline. The depth of the water is shallow for about twenty feet out and then drops off suddenly to about 150 feet and more. I thought the rock and granite shoreline looked very interesting in this capture. Photo taken Mar.3/2008

  • Bertram Creek
    by Gregory Ewanowich

    US$3.42–US$91.20

This is Bertram Creek as it flows out of the forest and into Okanogan Lake. Photo taken Mar.3/2008 looking northwest from the park.

  • One last shot of this young ram just before he jumped up and over the edge of this cliff and out of sight. Photo taken April28/2008. Shorts Creek herd.

  • Iris
    by Gregory Ewanowich

    US$3.42–US$91.20

The Iris is such a beautiful flower and the yard around my parent’s home is covered in these gorgeous blooms at the moment. My Mom planted a few bulbs a number of years ago and they have spread throughout the property everywhere you look. Photo taken June 5/2008.

  • Canada Day Fireworks
    by Gregory Ewanowich

    US$3.42–US$91.20

Although I really don’t have the right equipment for this kind of shot I had to try it and this capture is one of the better ones. The fireworks were being lit off from a barge that had been towed into place and anchored out in the middle of Okanogan Lake in front of Waterfront Park. / This capture was taken with my Sony Cybershot DSC-W55 And so the quality is not what it could be with better equipment. Although I am surprised as everyone said it just couldn’t be done with this camera.Surprise!

  • Okanogan Lake
    by Gregory Ewanowich

    US$3.42–US$91.20

I stopped for a moment at Sarson’s Beach in the Okanogan Mission area of Kelowna. This is the beach where I used to go swimming when I was a teenager. The shot is looking west across the lake towards the Mission Hill Winery. It was so nice and warm today it almost felt like spring. photo taken Feb.26/2008. I was so tempted to put the top down on my car, lol.

  • This photograph was taken from the boat dock in Peachland, looking south towards Summerland and Penticton. I did not find out untill later that the smoke was coming from a slash pile that was burning on the mountainside where they are blasting the mountan away to widen the highway to four lanes from two. You can’t stop progress I guess. Anyways I thought the smoke added a little something to the photo. Taken Mar.2/2008.
