A perpetually extending tunnell, but with interference from the top left corner offsetting the balance. / The inside ring appears to be ‘staring’ at the beholder. Looked at diagonally, it also appears to be a single-eyed face smiling in a rather weird way.

Made in collaboration with my wife. We were like wicked children working on this: dyeing the eggs, painting and playing with patterns on them, photographing, then post-processing- – it became a meditation on mortality. There is this haunting feeling of fetuses decaying inside the shells; and then the dried leaves, the muted colors almost fading. The dark side of the Easter egg. Wink.
