Jeffery Smart is a fantastic AUSTRALIAN Artist. His work often displays the things found in the everyday, roads, buildings, containers. / This is a collection of Aviation Gas Drums lined up and stacked up, along the side of a shed in Whitecliffs. / The time was just after sunrise, a bit cool but great light up at the top of the dug out hotel we were staying at. There are so many tips’n’tricks, tutorials, enhancements and various other interesting articles listed around Redbubble. I’ve decided it is time to revitalise the articles I have written. / Why? Because so many writers are long-winded, overly-descriptive and their instructions are near impossible to navigate. I believe my documents cover the many issues necessary to run a successful redbubble gallery, allowing artists to successfully present their portfolio to all clientele. FIRST PLACE IN A CHALLENGE: Canon vs Nikon / FEATURED IN THE GROUP: Freedom to Shine / FEATURED IN THE GROUP: Nostalgic Art and Photography Entry to the challenge in Canon vs Nikon / “What we want you to do is find an image that really, really inspires you, perhaps that image that really got you into photography, and then we want you to do your own response to it. Recreate it? Do one that could be part of the series? You can do what you like but it must be your own response.” / Camera: Canon 400D / Lens: Canon 28 – 135 mm First off all I would like to thank Alf Caruana for giving me permission to use his awesome work as my inspirations. The old master series that Alf did has never ceased to blow my mind. • An ode to Miro is a study of just one element of a painting of Joan Miro’s. This is the first in a series of illustrations that I did based on Joan Miro’s works.

  • “Ode to Spring…where is it?” was featured in the group ImageWriting (2/24) in March 2009 As I was walking back along the country trail from the Chicaque Park to catch a bus, I was startled to hear a familiar bird song. But it took a few minutes to register in my mind that it was a Meadowlark!! Nah…there are no meadowlarks in Colombia! They live in North America (in my mind). But as as I looked at the posts along the road, there he was and just singing his heart out! Sorry guys, I think spring is still a little ways off!! He’s still here…patiently waiting for the time to leave for the North Country again!! Let me know folks when he arrives!! Of the two (Western Meadowlark and Eastern Meadowlark), the Eastern Meadowlark is the only one to migrate this far south – to northern South America…hence this one is an Eastern Meadowlark. Although they are vertually indistinguishable by their physical features, their call is very distinct!! / If you want to listen to him check him out here

    ODE TO SIR JOHN BETJEMAN
    by defineart

    US$6.65–US$152.00

  • Ode to propanolol
    by Catherine Hadler

    US$4.32–US$98.80

I decided I should do a painting to show how I feel about my hands – I have an essential tremor, that is only helped by beta blockers (propanolol) or alcohol! Not very practical but more fun. / Anyway, I find that painting also helps – I am rubbish at straight lines, but I go into a sort of meditative state and my hands relax a bit. / So this is a small painting that took a long time, but was quite therapeutic

  • Ode to an Urn
    by Orla Cahill

    US$4.72–US$107.92

Oil Painting…I painted this quite a few years ago (maybe 1995-1996). It is based on a detail from a famous painting but unfortunately I cannot remember what the name of the painting was or who the original artist was. My version of this painting was painted on 16”x12” canvas board. I’ve decided to name it ‘Ode to an Urn’ as it reminds me of my favourite poem. Ode on a Grecian Urn by John Keats / I also love one of his other ‘Odes’ Ode to a Nightingale ...if I could only find myself a nightingale. LOL! Featured in: Fine Arts Influenced by Literature – 14th March 2009. Featured in: Impressionist Art – 30th April 2009. Made a SALE of this image on the 27th April 2009.

  • Ode To Giger
    by Peter Hill

    US$5.32–US$121.60

Ode To Giger owes its name to Joanne and her perception of this. It was similarly shot in Sydney’s Royal Botanic Gardens, but on a different morning and using a different subject. The larger the view the more the Giger effect Canon EOS 10D with 70-300mm DO IS lens, handheld, 1/30th second.

  • Can nothing be an important concept in itself? This poem pays homage to the invention of zero as a number, in the form of a rhyming riddle. And (foolishly for my sanity) I decided to add the constraint that the first letter of each line would spell out the alphabet. (Check out the text version here )

  • An ode to Miro is a study of just one element of a painting of Joan Miro’s. This is the first in a series of illustrations that I did based on Joan Miro’s works.
