Hoho! Silly Me, I just found out RedBubble has added the black t-shirt option! Yipee!!! So I tried to play around with the new white option and accidentally came up with this effect. If the design is printed in black, you get 4 birds, but if you print it in white, you get 3 birds and a silly random dot. Haha! I find it amusing personally. So now I dont know whether the title ’ odd one out’ or ‘find the invisible bird’ is more appropriate. Hmmm….

Hello, Grant has been working on the BubbleSites for months now – and he’s keen to see the fruits of his hard work out there on the ‘Internets’. So today we’re taking the wrap off the BubbleSites and making it generally available. The thinking behind the BubbleSites is to provide you with a very clean, simple personal gallery website. Your BubbleSite is free of anyone else’s branding or artwork, and you control the content. The BubbleSites are one small step towards our vision for RedBubble. We can’t possibly hope to do everything for everyone with one website, so we’re looking to make RedBubble more flexible. We want to allow people to use RedBubble in different ways. Some folks want to use RedBubble as a place to send their customers. With the current website your customers land on a profile page, but there’s lots of distractions. BubbleSites provide a much more focused experience, for those who want it. We’re still doing lots of work on the BubbleSites, so expect to see more changes in the near future. In particular we’re working right now on giving people the ability to change the background color. If you’ve got any feedback or suggestions please wander over to the feedback forum and type away. This week we’ve also made some small changes elsewhere on RB. Images in challenges are no longer cropped (our challenge software is currently under beta testing – see here for a few example challenges). For those with a technical mind we’ve embedded hidden copyright information into every large image displayed on RedBubble – this means that if somone downloads a large image off RedBubble it can always be traced back to you. By default we’ve inserted your name and profile URL into each image, but you can change this on your edit profile page (down towards the bottom of the screen). I, fairly recently, finally gave in to what, in some respects, was pressure from outside of myself and was, in other respects, pressure from myself alone and began reading the Odd Thomas series by Dean Koontz. I had been avoiding them because some people told me unpleasant things about how much his stories were like the ones I was writing about Ordine and Ordem. This began, most especially, after I changed the name of a small town from Cacafroon, as it had been since long before I had known who Douglas Adams was, to Piccolo Rancido (I hope I spelled that right) which means ‘small and rancid” Mr. Koontz has a town called Pico Mundu, or some such spelling, which means, apparently, small perfection. What is exceptionally odd about this to me, even more odd than that we’d both choose to use a smilar tactic when choosing names for towns (as we apparently have) is that I changed the name of the town in or about 1997. Or, maybe it was 1999. Whatever! The point is, it was quite some time before 2003 and 2003 is the year of the date when, according to the book I just finished reading, the series started being published. So I am not in the least worried, after having read the first book, that Mr. Koontz would ever look at what I have written and think “Oh, that’s just like my book!” because, no, it’s not. It’s not even close, except for that they both have humans who have parents, and they are written in English, etc. You could confuse Star Trek and Stargate easier than you could confuse ‘Odd Thomas’ with ‘The Sacred Beggar Boy’ as they have more similarities. What worries me is, how did these people know, in 1999 or before, what Dean Koontz books that were published in 2003 said? Maybe that’s what his next series will be about and, then, he’ll be a mystery writer extraordinaire!

I was almost going to go off into seclusion if no one liked anything but wow! Thats all i can say is wow! I want to send a HUGE huge thank you to everyone! The thing about Threadless is that it seems to work on features in that, once they use your design that its theirs to promote, but that you get 2000 dollars if chosen. I would like to know if anyone has ever used threadless before and how they conduct their business. Also I am not a fan of their terms of services. I am delighted and overjoyed. Unfortunately, only the article is published on line, the images have been omitted. / Like many people, I try to get it right in the camera, but I usually don’t succeed. Since I joined RB, several people have gently steered, bullied, coaxed and encouraged me to try at least basic editing. My efforts have obviously paid off as the newspaper used my photos and not their stock images. / I thank all those who have helped my progress, your contribution is greatly appreciated. / What an end to the year, it feels wonderful. / jesika / x

The new Group is being hosted by myself, and Olitto / Olitto / . / The old car next to a couple of new cars, the weed that is more interesting that the flowers it is growing next to…..or the home that makes the neighborhood scream because it doesn’t fit. The couple that’s holding hands on the street that doesn’t match the “normal” or the guy in the jeans and t-shirt having a conversation with three others dressed for a formal dinner! And why is there a blue orchid in a bunch of red roses, a cow grazing with five horses and a thin tall guy walking with four short and fat guys? / . / You get the idea. Well, Toronto (excluding the larger GTA) has about 2.5 million people in it. My best selling shirt has only sold around 90 prints. And probably an even smaller number to folk just in Toronto. So, on the way to the coffee shop this morning to sit and draw like I do most days, imagine my surprise when I see a guy sitting at the very back of the tram wearing my Bacon shirt. Well, it was his shirt, but, ah you get it… This is the first time ever I have seen one of my prints in the street, completely by chance. Completely and UTTERLY by chance. So I had to go down and shake the guy’s hand and say hello. Awesome. :o)

Hi all, well below are some of the features for September, Im aware it is October but I had it all ready all links completed challenge wins all sorted and beautiful. Had 3 tabs open and hit the wrong one and deleted all the imfomation I had been adding through the month. Of cousre as you get featured you get the images knocked off so no chance to see what I had at the start of the month, so will have to just go with what happened near the end and what is still on the feature feed. Us women are supposed to be able to multi task, but 3 tabs open beat me this time.
