A lot of memories attached to this one. My dad bought me my first glub glub in blackpool in the summer of 60 odd. We stood in the joke shop window fascinated with the continual drinking motion of the glub glub. And in true ToastedGhost fashion I now become the glub glub. Another older piece. Don’t ask me what it’s supposed to mean, because I don’t have anything resembling an answer. While uploading some of my older work recently I noticed that a lot of the stuff I made during my “marker-crazy” period makes very little sense. Do you think it has something to do with the marker fumes?

This is simply, milk with green food dye and a spot light shining down into it. The dye eventually spread through it, making it look quite toxic. I layered the image once, dulling the colour on one layer, and brightening on the other. Slight crop of original. The vivid lighting gave me high contrast and accentuated the darkness of the green centre.
