  • The 3rd OECD World Forum was held in Busan, Korea from 27 to 30 October 2009. It focussed on the theme of ‘Charting Progress, Building Visions, Improving life – through Statistics, Knowledge an Policy’. Organised by the OECD and Statistics Korea, 200 speakers from 59 countries and over 2,000 delegates (including me) le…arnt and displayed some of the tools used to measure progress and well being around the world. I manned the ABS stand at the Exhibition Hall. I learn’t so much, had a fantastic time and enjoyed all this beautiful part of the world had to offer. Korea is a wonderful country – so clean, progressive and safe. I even managed to learn a few Korean words!
