For me the most magical place on earth I think is Punakaiki or The Pancake Rocks along West Coast of New Zealand. Here all five of your senses are assaulted byt the elements that make up this wonderful spot. A visual treat is accompanied by feel and taste of salt spray on the air and booming of the waves hitting the limestone cliffs at high tide is like thunder.

Ward Beach, Marlborough, South Island New Zealand at sunrise Nikon D200 with 17-55mm f2.8 nikon lens with tripod standing on the limestone rock formations, waited for about half an hour for the right wave to create the pattern without crashing over the rocks and disturbing the tripod, I got very wet trying to get this photo (not that that is unusual, I always seem to end up getting wet in my pursuit of interesting images) I hope you like the photo. Sunset song
by KymieI took this photo of the bird on the tree outside my office window today with the work camera – through the glass (because if I had gone outside, I would have scared it away) because there was so much light in behind the bird was dark but, I thought the outline looked cool and I wanted to try layering on photoshop. So, I took a sunset photo from Baylys Beach in NZ I took in 06 and used the Linear option in layers, the flatened the layer so it joined together and lightened a bit, then because the waves in the sunset pic were a bit flat colour wise, I used my friend flood filter. For my first go, I’m wrapped. / Now, I’m not going to lie – it took me about an hour because I didn’t really know what I was doing BUT, I got there in the end LOL

Taken on a dark night in Wellington. This was taken on a night where I to was feeling very dark. My Partner of 10 years was about to go away for 8 week in circumstances I wasn’t very happy about and was dreading. I think the photo really shows how I was feeling.
