A yacht
I love my morning walks a lot, especially at dawn.
There’s no thrill in easy sailing when the skies are clear and blue, there’s no joy in merely doing things which any one can do. But there is some satisfaction that is mighty sweet to take, when you reach a destination that you never thought you’d meet….................... Sydney Harbour, Australia, sailing heaven …..... . /
Here’s one of the competitors from Scarborough Yacht Club ‘racing into the sun’ in South Bay, Scarborough, North Yorkshire and for those who know the town, Oliver’s Mount is clearly visible in the background.

This image was created at the Apollo Bay Docks early in 2008, went here for a holiday just as I was getting into Photography. I went down to the docks just as a storm was rolling in and it made for some interesting weather conditions! This pic was created from one raw file. I changed the exposures in Lightroom and then merged 3 images using Photomatix, increased the blue and green saturation levels in Lightroom and added a bit of contrast. This is the result! This is my most viewed image on RedBubble Click here for my other images of Victoria
In Dec 1973, my aunty and uncle embarked on two major journeys; marriage and a year long trip to the Cocos Islands. They told great stories of their time there and Gerry painted landscapes that captivated me from a young age. In late 2007, I finally walked the islands that they so dreamily embedded in my child’s mind. Thank you Steve and Gerry!
