I took this picture a couple of years ago at the beach of Marina di Grosseto, Tuscany, Italy. / This is a fine example I think of how a fisheye lens can completely change the feeling of an ordinary scene. The subject is simply some surf on the seashore, captured from a distance of not more than a foot. / The original picture is a Fuji Velvia 50 Iso medium format slide. Surfing just before dawn. The water color comes from the dawn light reflecting off high clouds in the sky. Canon 1Ds Mark II / 600 mm focal length / 1/15 second / f/4 / ISO 50 Panning and trying to keep the surfer in one spot in the frame produces the fluidity and quality to the water.

Late evening, bold sky and silhouetting the remains of the old Port Willunga jetty, Port Willunga, South Australia. A favourite spot for photographers and it is rare to visit on a night without running into others with cameras!!! Canon 400D 18-55 lens with CIR Polarising filter. Converted in Photoshop CS3.

Late afternoon at Port Willunga South Australia. Looking out towards the setting sun through the remains of the Old Jetty structure. Not overly sure about the colours here, strange evening with orange red clouds and just dark enough to get a slight amount of motion in the foreground. Canon 400D, 18 -55 lens, CIR Polarising filter coupled with an ND4. Wet legs and a wet tripod, standing out in the water trying to avoid waves!!!!!!

They were out on the same walk She saw buildings / He saw the sky She saw shadows / He saw the shadows of birds that fly She saw a crack / He saw a crevice She saw a hole / He saw a ditch She saw the homeless / He saw the rich She saw a rock / He saw a diamond When they got home they looked into each other’s eyes, / How shall we ever agree on this life at the same time? / They said all at once / Well… / She said / We must learn to revel in our differences / Lets go against society, / Every time I see differently or you do / Lets break out the champagne and the sweet meats / Every time one sees a problem.. Lets celebrate for the other / Every time one sees a solutions lets do it again … / Celebrate / Celebrate each other.. And then we will loose track of / Perfect timing cause every moment will be just perfect!! So they made a pact and they went for walks / When she saw buildings and he saw the sky they both / Were so happy for what the other was seeing it was like they were seeing EVERYTHING ALL AT ONCE. / It was like it did not matter any more who saw what when or where; It just mattered that they were together. / And guess what? / THEY LIVED HAPPILY EVER AFTER… TEE HEE / THE END Linaji 2009

Shot with Canon 5Dmk2 and Canon 24-70 2.8L lens (34mm) at f22, 1.6sec Auto WB ISO50 in Apeture mode. / Red Rock, Yuragir National Park, Mid North Coast, NSW Australia. I would like to thank my good friend Simone Byrne for her advice and encouragement with my landscapes. Check her out on RB if you want to see some truely outstanding photography. I think this is one of my best images. Believe it or not it is very difficult to capture images here because of its bearing and landscape. The colours of the rocks, the short duration of light and the bright sky tend to cause loss in a significant range in either highlights or darks whichever way you try to capture it. I had to use an 8 stop neutral density filter and 4 stop grad ND to get a balance between the two.

/ / “Beach Picnic” is a pencil drawing which I’ve coloured digitally, I hope you like this image with mother and daughter in similar sundresses. As a child we enjoyed beach picnics all the time, mum would make us special fried chicken (better than Kentucky Fried) and we would go out on the boat to a little island, where i would play with soldier crabs for hours on end, while dad fished and mum sunbaked… they were wonderful times. We also went on the annual Beach Picnic to Bonny Hills with the church and we were great friends with the priest back in those days who was a top water skier.. We would see so many things at Bonny Hills, sea snakes slithered past in the creek where we were swimming and there were amazing white clay deposits in the sand….hours of fun were had by all… not to mention we even had a little mass there… top fun :)

Summer Breeze a beautiful poem by the same title by a dear friend of mine Anne Van Alkemade / Inspired by the song Summer Breeze / by Seals and Croft Also inspired by myself and my experience of having bugs and insects come to try and take up residence in my ears… scrabbling around in there, getting all comfy…while I’m going crazy…click beetles, houseflies and spiders so far have all tried this… lol This is a girl who has an affinity with nature, and as the summer breezes begin to blow here in Australia…....the animals are drawn to live in her hair thinking that it must be branches of a tree… yes, my hair’s that dry… :) I thought it a fitting one for summer, hope you like her… Pencil drawing took me about 3 hours / Digital colouring – 10 hours / Total time 13 hours
