This was captured after a rain storm, while we were on holidays at Lorne. The sky lit up as though it was on fire, with the clouds reflecting the late afternoon sun and the resulting water lying on the pier also mirrored the sky and the couta boat, docked there.

In the warm summer night, I watched this amazing dry storm cell pass over me from the West. It looked like it was going to cross right over top of me – so I made an escape plan (run like hell!) But in the end, it turned north and head away from me – not before I captured this. A turbulent year, reflected by storm , / with power, excitement and pain. / With coolness refreshing, like breezes in summer. / With tears like the sweet fall of rain. The winds carrying scents of some interesting place, / bring sand grains to prickle the skin of my face. / So has the year gone. What looked like a gloomy day in Alaska, already snowed and rained on . I just amanged to see a bit of light on the horizon so off I went to look for compositions in case the light made ad appearance. Waves driven by early winter storm off the coast of Sitka, Alaska at sunset on an October Day.

Right place, right time for this shot! Wanted to shoot the Devils Kitchen in the Noosa Heads National Park, but the sky didn’t agree with landscape photography on this afternoon. Hanging around shooting my favorite subjest, eagles, this offshore rainstorm came rolling in. The setting sun came out, and supplied this wonderful scene! By far the most illuminated rainbow I have ever seen, it was so bright.. Canon 50D, 10mm, Available Large, and definately best viewed Large! Noosa Heads National Park, Queensland, Australia.

One caught a few months back, and one of my favorites of the day, but for some reason I overlooked it. Was the first day I purchased my new Wide Angle lens for the 5D Mk II, full frame. I ended up buying the 16-35mm f2.8 L II, and she is a beauty! All I need now if the time to get out and capture more of the beautiful mother nature at work :) The wreck of the “SS Dicky”, at Dicky Beach, Sunshine Coast, Queensland, Australia. She isn’t looking so good these days, as the sea rips away at the remains every tide. Canon 5D Mk II, 16mm. Available very large and best viewed Large!
