Sunset over Garrison Lake and the Pacific. Garrison Lake is located in the coastal community of Port Orford, a small fishing village on the southern Oregon coast. The lake is separated by a narrow strip of dune, beyond which lies the Pacific Ocean. The rocks on the horizon (better viewed at full size) are sea stacks of the Orford Reef, which are approximately 5 miles out to sea.

A 5:30am rise for a beautiful sunrise that cast lovely pink hues across the sky. This stunning limestone formation can be missed against the better known Loch Ard Gorge alongside. These beautiful indented coves and limestone stacks and arches, weathered by the relentless surging seas, form part of the famous Port Campbell National Park. Taken with a Canon 400D, a Sigma 10-20 ultra-wide at 16mm, 15 sec exposure, ISO 100 at f/22.

This one was taken at popular surfing spot Cat Bay on the North West coast of Phillip Island in Victoria, Australia. Got here with the hope of getting some nice long exposures of the high tide coming in and then the clouds opened up… Taken with my Canon 40D and 10-22mm wide angle lens as well as poalrising, graduated and ND filters. Early evening shot at the Port Fairy outflow pipe, Port fairy Victoria. The outflow goes beyond rock outcrops on Griffin Island, out through the cement structures that reach out into the ocean. Long exposure image taken with the Canon 400D, 18 -55 lens, CIR Polarising filter topped with an ND4.
