  • Taken at Point Roadknight just minutes from Anglesea. The Great Ocean Road passes close by in Victoria, Australia. Also part of the Great Otway National Park that runs down much of the coast from Torquay right across to Port Campbell. HDR from 3 exposures, white balance adjusted in Lightroom as well as a few other minor touch ups.

  • Footprints in the sand at Point Roadknight just out of Anglesea at Sunset. Also part of the Great Otway National Park that runs down much of the coast from Torquay right across to Port Campbell. HDR in Photomatix and white balance change in Lightroom. Toned down a lot of the colours except for the yellows, the sky has been noticably toned down to keep the goldish look.

  • A cave at Hug Point State Recreation area, five miles south of Canon Beach, on the Oregon coast. This is one of the most beautiful and geologically interesting beaches on the Oregon coast, named after a still-visible stage coach trail that “hugged” the rocky point. Water-eroded rock formations, sea-caves, and even a small waterfall are present in this small wayside. The photo is a combination of the following three exposures, combined together using layers and layer masks. F/16 2 sec / F/16 1/2 sec / F/13 1/25 sec

  • Another early morning walk with the dog… As I was trapsing through the dark woods to get to this secluded spot, I reassured myself that the dog would scare off any large beasts. And when the dark woods got darker when my flashlight burnt out, I reassured myself that my car would indicate to searchers that I was indeed in this forest. No need to worry… The Island of Newfoundland, just off the east coast of Canada. As is. Canon PowerShot S5 IS / Tv (Shutter Speed) 1/8 / Av (Aperture Value) 8.0 / ISO Speed 80

  • Yes, another sunrise taken from my workplace in Port Hardy, BC on Vancouver Island. It’s the best part of my job, to enjoy this beautiful scenery every time I look out the bay & Mr. Eagle put an added beauty to the scene! In 16 years, so many different colors and so many eagles! I have seen the worst and best that this bay has to offer! Hope you like and like always, thank you for viewing my point of view!! I recently had a small accident and off for a few days, catch up time in RB world. Keep smiling… / /

  • Sunrise over Jervis Bay. Looking from Moona Moona across to Point Perpendicular. It was a beautiful morning and a great way to start the day before work… though it wasn’t the clearest of days for photography I still rather like this one. This was also a bit of an experiment. I don’t have any nd filters to fit my current lens.. but I have some smaller sized ones. So I just thought I’d try holding one in front of the lens and see what happens. It worked out reasonably well… but I can’t wait to buy some to use properly…lol! Canon 50D / focal length 70mm / f/29 / 1.3 sec / grad ND filter
