The third artwork in the Nautical Series. This digital landscape is a digital painting done in both Corel Painter and Photoshop CS2 with a Wacom Intuos3 tablet. No photo references were used. The blazing sun sets behind a dancing ocean. I was going for a minimalistic look here—the beach, the sunset, a single bird. What more could one ask for? Blog Website

An acrylic painting, 26×36cm (10” x 14”) on 300 gsm watercolour paper of the boardwalk on Long Island, Australia. This long walk takes you down to the pier. An acrylic painting 35cm x 25cm (13.5” x 10”) on paper, of a fallen tree on the shores of a beautiful remote beach in Queensland, Australia. Driftwood can be a nusiance but is important as it provides shelter and food for birds, fish and other aquatic species as it floats in the ocean. What a beautiful place to be.
This Oil Painting 16 X 20 stretched canvas is of the predawn fog at Deception Pass Bridge, Washington. Deception Pass, located at the northern end of Puget Sound, is a treacherous, narrow channel with turbulent waters, rapid tidal action, and rocky outcrops. It separates the high bluffs of Whidbey Island from those of Fidalgo Island. A rocky islet, Pass Island, rises in the mouth of the pass and divides it into two channels. Deception Pass Bridge connects Whidbey Island to Pass Island. / I lived on Whidbey Island for 3 years in the mid 60’s. / Created in my Grants Pass, Oregon Studio 506 Views FEATURED IN / United States / Pacific NorthwestGroup / Welcome to Washington (the State) / Mornings & Evenings—Sunbeams & Storms / Impressionist Art / Fantastic Primitive Art

...feeling calm today looking at this painting capturing the calmness of the ocean…an oil painting on canvas 2×3’ ....inspired by the sea & this poem ” Eternity at Sea” / That if I would, / I would stand immortally at sea / Gazing for eternity at sea The beauty struck sea / I’d set leave of quay / To immortally find way Stand upon the ocean shore / Reverberating sea splashing at my feet / Shore washing sea, covering my feet To close my eyes is to be at sea / This dream lasts all day to me / One day is like twenty years at sea That if I would, / I would stand immortally at sea / Hoping for eternity at sea Wonder covered sea / I would bless the shore / And leave to be once more Out at sea to sail / And stand upon a ship and sway / Listen to the creak of the wood, and say To close my eyes is to be at sea / A dream that lasts eternity / Eternity, guaranteed, to live Would one day be eternity / I would spend it out at sea / Stand upon the ocean shore, foaming at my feet” / Annie Cordelia Adams ...This is my commandment, That ye love one another, as I have loved you.
