  • This is Barak Obama on the edge. The edge of Glory? I believe so. There are challenging days ahead, and this is how I see Obama, Cerebral, confident, aware and poised. Obama is a fascinating man to draw and paint, for all of his straight talk, there is a complexity always present on his face. This is digitally drawn and is one of the few political pieces that I do.

  • I actually took this photo today (US Election Day) in NYC. There were about four or five OBAMA mannequins in this clothing store near Union Square. / I did a bit of editing and selective color. I voted for him. So happy he will be our new President. The World will be immediately accelerated in a good way. He’s good at ‘fact finding’ and I’m hoping he’ll put a good “dent” into the global economy, healthcare and the “green-ness” of our environment.

  • Another doodle from work. The trees can do some weird things to your mind driving home late at night… / Ink on line paper, 6 X 9

  • As I was driving around in the pouring SNOW I came upon a message on a flag in the woods. The words “YES WE CAN” stood out quite clearly. I want to remind everyone that the message is not, yes I can … but yes WE can. I pray that I am guided to do MY part and then you do yours and WE CAN! Lina , we talked on the phone about the wonderful day we both were having today … does it not remind you of this message? YES, LINA, WE CAN! ~~ Judi 2009 Here is President Obama’s Message: “I won’t pretend that meeting any one of these challenges will be easy. It will take more than a month or a year, and it will likely take many,” Obama said. “Along the way there will be setbacks and false starts and days that test our fundamental resolve as a nation.” He also, however, struck a hopeful and optimistic tone, following up with, “But despite all of this - despite the enormity of the task that lies ahead - I stand here today as hopeful as ever that the United States of America will endure—that the dream of our founders will live on in our time.” “And yet, as I stand here tonight,” Obama said, “what gives me the greatest hope of all is not the stone and marble that surrounds us today, but what fills the spaces in between. It is you—Americans of every race and region and station who came here because you believe in what this country can be and because you want to help us get there.” He ended with: “I ask you to help me reveal that character once more, and together, we can carry forward as one nation, and one people, the legacy of our forefathers that we celebrate today.” ============================================================ One nation, one people … WE ARE ONE!
