I don’t want a political debate,, I only want to say how much I am in appreciation of someone within the American political arena who is willing to question how we regard each others differences.. Sweep them under the rug like child abuse used to be,, back in the 1950’s and before or just look, look at the demons square up. It seems the attention to where we truly stand regarding race, gender or sexual differences have to be examined before we can move forward. / I am an artist who loves/hates to look at my demons weather I use the pen and paper or a photo to tell the tale,, I know I have the capacity to change my world by looking under the bed and in the closet for the boogie monsters that are kept alive by the story of their reality rather than the reality itself.. / Peace On / xoxoxoxoxox

The “race” speech Barack Obama gave in Philadelphia is bound to be one of the greatest speeches given in our American history. I can imagine future generations of school children quoting his words and phrases for years to come. I wanted to display part of Barack Obama’s speech along with his vision for America.

took this at a obama rally for my documentary class. the girl was spinning around and around and laughing while her mom watched her, so of course i ran to go take a shot of her. haha, but once she saw me i immediately shot the image and this is what unfolded. although I’m a bit ashamed. this isn’t a very good scan and i tried cleaning it up a bit, but not a hole lot done. I have my final critique tomorrow and so I’ll prolly scan the better quality image on tuesday and hopefully have it uploaded then. I just am having self doubt and I wanted some critique from some fellow redbubblers. OOO. Also, I found out that redbubble is stationed in AU. So, on a side note….I don’t necessarily endorse Obama, I’m third party. But I would totally love to see a black man become president. Obama Rally—UCLA California / Kodak 400 35mm film

just took a political science class. That on top of 8 years of republican bullshit combined with 8 months of this democratic party super-delegate bullshit has totally left me jaded to the entire political process. / I cant buy all this hype. All politicians are tools for their parties. All politicians play Washington games. Thats how politics works and has always worked. Its politics. Its not virtuous. (sp?) You cant make it virtuous. You cant sit at home watching tv and telling yourself “he/she seems like the right guy for the job. He’ll/She’ll get us out of this mess”. Its up to us as a people to get ourselves out of this mess and stop putting so much power into the hands of so few over and over again and expecting different results. thats my little rant. God bless America. p.s. – i got the text from “The Modern Prince” by Carnes Lord. A great book. I reccomend it. We also read “The Stillborn God” by Mark Lilla. A history of political theology. Also a good read.

I saw this kid at the last Barack Obama peace rally in Portland, Oregon. I thought it was great that he was getting into the whole political rally even though he couldn’t vote. This is my first try at street photography. It’s much harder then it looks! It makes me appreciate the artists who can hit it spot on.
