© Simone Byrne Photography, 2007. All Rights Reserved. 29th November, 2007 Sunset at the ‘Tree Graveyard’. A conceptual image (diptych) for all those who are plagued by the “black dog”. Redesdale, Victoria, Australia What is Bipolar? Bipolar disorder is a medical illness that causes severe mood swings which are caused by a chemical imbalance in the brain. People who suffer from this illness lack the control mechanism that enables them to pull away from emotional situations and as such their lives may spiral out of control, through no fault of their own. The illness is very serious and very real and affects not only the sufferer, but their friends and family as well. There is still a lot of stigma attached to this disease, given that it is a mental illness to which very little is known about. It is incurable but can be controlled by diet and medication. Most bipolar types are brilliant, creative, inspiring, loving, generous and caring individuals who contribute to making the world a better place, but all the while they themselves struggle every day to survive. This wonderful oak tree is located in the foothills of the Tehachapi Mountains in Southern California. All the original limbs have been broken off by the snow loads of winter storms. The present limbs were regrown over the years. Photo taken during a blowing snowstorm.
This still proud She Oak stands close to the shores of Swan Lake. It is a wonderful location and continues to change as the water rises. Yep it’s still raining here. / It’s so peaceful, I often find myself just sitting down ,forgetting about the camera and absorbing all that’s happening around me. What you can’t see are the many lake birds getting ready to bed down for the night.

THE LAST WORKS (CLIKC IMAGE FOR VIEW) / . /
This work is about the future that is inside of you. I was originally inspired to create this piece while I was listening to a speaker talk about how God sees us. That He sees us in our completed form; that there is a future YOU inside you right now. He sees all that you are capable of and placed that inside of you when He created you. / In my work I am conveying a majestic, tall oak tree, exists complete within a tiny acorn somewhere in the future. It’s the knowledge of the future that is the key to unlocking it and releasing it. So be aware of your potential and Hold on to YOUR future. “Something very small and average has the potential to be very great.” / - Carrie Glenn Hand drawn images from my own photos, then airbrushed and painted You can contact Carrie at: carrie@carrieglennstudios.com and please visit Carrie Glenn Studios / To purchase the card I created from this work Click Here /

...about an hour north of New Orleans you start hitting these amazing mansions and plantations, this is the view looking away from the mansion – I found the dual minimal landscape framed by these amazing oaks a cool sight and the tourists played the perfect role.

Infra red image of an ancient Oak tree hidden in the valley of the White Leaved Oak, Malvern Hills, England. The tree is thought to be about 1,500 years old and grew from an acorn of a true albino oak which is said to have grown in the area many hundreds of years ago. The Oak is located on the site of ancient earth works and is comonly thought of as being once an ancient place of worship for the Celts and Druids. It is still visited today by local Pagans and Witches and often decorated with offerings of ribbons and crystals.
I created this drawing with art markers and a micron .01 black pen. The paper is Stonehenge 100% Cotton, Vellum finish, 250 GSM, neutral ph/acid free paper. It is 8×8 inches. I absolutely LOVE this paper and plan to buy more in different sizes. It beats ANY Strathmore Bristol Papers, Hands Down! Any monies made from the sale of this art will be donated to The Philadelphia Mission. http://www.philadelphia33.org/
