This was done a couple of nights ago whilst on night shift , when we had a spare moment, my colleague Judy help out with lighting and arrangement . This is dedicated to all the nurses and doctors and non clinical staff on Ward 1 at Monash Medical Centre and to medical staff everywhere, the great job they all do – under sometimes difficult circumstances

Mother.Culture Page _Support in a mother’s immediate family is crucial to success. If one member is not on board the breastfeeding relationship becomes vulnerable. This portrait also touches on the “family bed”. Western Culture has told us that sleeping with our children is bad in every way. I challenge this way of thinking with depicting the family bed as a sanctuary, and to be reassessed by western culture.

Mother.Culture Page This work stems from reading blogs and articles surrounding public breastfeeding. I saw great support in the articles and quite the opposite. Men and women describing breastfeeding as “dirty and gross”.

This would me as a Silent Hill nurse. I finally decided to just take out the fangs and make it less Spanky and more Silent Hill. lol I have a few more photos that I’m going to work on, then I plan to make a big wallpaper. Give Silent Hill the credit for the original character design…of course. :P Model: Me / Photographer: Me / Photo Editor: Me

...at the old New Norfolk Asylum, Tasmania. Abandoned, empty except mabe for the ghosts of former inmates.
Grey Nurse Sharks hang out off the NSW coast. Grey Nurse Sharks are known as Raggy Tooth Sharks in South Africa and Sand Tiger Sharks in the US. They are endangered in Australia, particularly in New South Wales waters yet the government has only made a half hearted attempts to protect the species. This shot is taken at Fish Rock, a known GNS aggregation site. While I was diving here several boats were fishing in this “protected” site (couple of hundred meter radius)...protecting = no anchoring for the fishing boats…..a joke! Several of the sharks in this shot had hooks in their mouths. Its a big ocean, there has to be a balance (I eat fish), conservation and marine parks are good for the fishermen as well….sustainability is the goal. http://amcs.org.au/ SAY NO TO SHARK FIN SOUP! Don’t let me fuck up, I pray / Walking through the tiled halls / Opening doors to needy minds / And looming contraptions on the walls
this write has the word fuck in it twice (ok three times counting this one), so if that bothers you, then stop right here… i’m a story teller. i like to write anecdotal pieces that entertain or pull you along in my world. but today, at lunch i was feeling a little lost. So i shut the door to my office and started writing. But i couldn’t make anything flow, no stories wanted to be told. So i just started writing sentences down and really, i didn’t pay much attention to them, i was just trying to get my brain in gear. Then i paused and realized many of the lines rhymed / / Now folks, i don’t write rhyming pieces, or rather i don’t post rhyming pieces. I write them but i always toss them aside because i think mine are cheesy. i have a great admiration for folks that write excellent rhyming pieces because i think it’s hard not to sacrifice the write for a word or a rhythm. Having said all that, i’m posting this, my first real rhyming poem. lol / / and if it bothers you that i pray those particular words, (because i really do) then you might want to read this write as it explains how i feel about that supplication- “a humble and sincere appeal to somebody who has the power to grant a request”, / Encarta ® World English Dictionary © & (P) 1998-2005 Microsoft Corporation. The Lady Lamington Building stands on the grounds of the Royal Brisbane Women’s Hospital and is heritage listed. / Lady Lamington, the wife of the Governor of the day laid the foundation stone on 14 September 1896. The building provided accommodation for 207 nursing staff at that time. / Sitting rooms, each with a fireplace, were a feature of the two top floors. / This building has an odd feeling to it that I can’t really explain, not like it’s bad or evil, but as though the people who lived there left echoes, remnants.
