Hi everyone, I just finished going through all Eleven pages of my images here on Redbubble and have edited them back to being available for sale….........I am pleased to announce that my numbers have reached an astounding 31,198 views and though sales are slow, I view this all as being very positive. I am grateful to the Redbubble staff for adding the transparent sheet to our images for those people who wish to right click and copy our work….....it has helped with the security issue a bit, and though it is only a temporary fix , still a step in the right direction…............Please take a minute when you get a chance, and look at an older page of images now and then…not just mine, but anyone’s work…..believe me you will never be disappointed….....I find that the talent here at Redbubble is unbelievable and always a real treat! I was going through my gallery this evening and happened to see that one of my photos had been viewed 690 times. What most surprised me was that it wasn’t what I considered to be among my top 10 photographs. I decided to do a Top 10 list just to understand what viewers were most attracted to, and it was something of a surprise. Here are the results in order from one to ten – well actually from 1 to 11. Tennessee Country Road, gets the spotlight with 692 views The following are picks 2 through 11 in order of views with No. 2 at 690 views and No. 11 at 168 views. I have to admit I added number 11 because I wanted to include Autumn Fire in the count down, but it really fell in just below with only 168 views. This is surprising because I consider it one of my better works. I am also a little biased because I invested a lot of time and work into this photograph whereas Dreamer’s Lane, which came in at second place, was a spur-of-the-moment shot that took less than 5 minutes to set up and capture. Of course, I’m not complaining. It’s just interesting to see that 10 photographs account for 25% of the 20,000+ views logged on my gallery. I’m trying to think of how this might be significant. I also noticed that Dreamer’s Lane has very few comments for such a high number of views. This could mean that it’s coming up on searches outside RB, (Non-members can view, but not comment on, artwork). It could also mean that viewers are attracted to it via the thumbnail but then are not impressed enough to leave a comment once they’ve seen the large image. (No, that can’t be it … right?). Anyway, I have never really paid attention to the views count before, but I think it’s worth keeping track of and investigating why some photos get above average views, i.e. have an above average attraction.
