An old outhouse found in the Central, Michigan. Like many small towns in Michigan, Central is an old mining town that simply was deserted. Michigan does an awesome job in projecting its history. We fell upon this city thanks to my vehicle navigation system. It is off the main highway up in the hills. It is so fun traveling Michigan. I must go up there two to three times a year. This digital art creation started from a simple yellow flower where I blacked out the background except for the flower then started creatively “playing” with it after some time got to this point and I liked it.

This is the gold nugget called the Hand of Faith that was found in Wedderburn in Victoria Australia. It has now been sold and is being exhibited at the Golden Nugget Casino in Las Vegas, Nevada USA.

The main image was shot in August 2007 at the Trinity River in North Western California. The other images I merged to create this collage are the gold dredge, the miner’s boots, the goldpan in the lower right and the goldpan that is in the center and faded out…..The gold is real, including the nugget; my husband and son have been lucky enough recently to have the time and knowhow to actualy find some of that amazing California gold! They are a sort of concentrated “carness” that is incredibly appealing but not actually useful. Well, they certainly caught my eye as I wandered around Melbourne’s CBD on the way to Docklands! These were a taster for the car show I stumbled over later that day …

They are a sort of concentrated “carness” that is incredibly appealing but not actually useful. (Patricia Piccinini) The red car nugget has a hot-rod style finish of skulls and flames, in homage to the art of customisation.
