When I shot this Swedish beauty I was immediately captivated by her soft elegance as well as her explosive personality… it came very natural for me to capture her in this manner… Combustion I only wish the pic could capture the range of color in this painting… It feels so incomplete

This fact is why we ask people to look us in the eye and tell us the truth. Or why we get worried when someone gives us the evil eye or has a wandering eye. Our everyday language is full of expressions that refer to where people around us are looking. Particularly if they happen to be looking in our direction. / Digital painting is an emerging art form in which traditional painting techniques such as watercolor, oils, etc. are applied using digital tools by means of a computer, a digitizing tablet and stylus, and software. Digital painting differs from other forms of digital art, particularly computer-generated art, in that it does not involve the computer rendering from a model. The artist uses painting techniques to create the digital painting directly on the computer. / I create the painting, directly on my PC, by using a Wacom tablet, a stylus pen and ArtRage painting software. The Wacom tablet can be compared to a canvas or watercolor paper surface. The stylus pen is my paintbrush.

Model is Heather from my first ever studio shoot Shooting on a budget? / At the time of this shoot I was still using film, however I was so broke I could rarely afford the film let alone the processing. So instead I put a notice up on Net Model and said ‘If you are a model with a digital camera who needs a photographer, then lets get together and shoot’. / Some photographers didn’t like that idea, but one did and offered me the use of his fully equipped studio including camera. Three models and a make-up artist soon followed on a ‘time-for-prints’ basis and this was one of the images we got. Total cost = the price of a train ticket to Birmingham. Bargain

Model from life. on full sheet of cold press arches paper. I exagerated the light and had the hair falling down her back the model had her hair up, and made the background into the impression of a bath tub. On my web site I have called it Bathing Nude. I love painting from life. This watercolour is for sale and can be posted unframed. At the moment is is framed to match.
