This is another of my favourites. I can’t remember the exact date I painted it… it was roughly January or February of 2006. I used acrylic on cardboard (but HOW I used it is a secret!), approximately 63cm x 51cm. I took this at Martin Place on Good Friday 2007. Being Good Friday, 8 am and rainy, there was hardly anyone out, which made for a great photo opportunity. This is a HDR with 3xp and as B&W Conversion in Lightroom.
I took this Photo on top of our local shopping mall. I think the HDR really brings out the detail in all the stuff looking through the windows.
We made our structures not to compliment nature, but for it to compliment us… Taken in the Sydney CBD on September 11th 2007… people must have been a little worried me so utterly fascinated with the building tops with my camera at the ready that day giggle oops.

Uploaded to celebrate my sale of Faded Rose which is one of the relics of this arrangement! And to add to a Grunge challenge. There’s something about faded roses that I find quite entrancing. After desaturing the image in CS3, I used another photo of peeling paint blended to give it an even more ‘olde’ look. Landscapes Trees Cards EOD Rusty Flowers Architecture Macro CatchAll DM
The sheet caught the light and dominated this shot so I have fiddled quite a bit to try and subdue the blow-out. Hope it worked. This particular piece of machinery holds unpleasant memories for me – my finger was squashed between rollers (dumb kids playing where they shouldn’t!!!) – tough lesson learned! All constructive comments welcome … this is my first attempt to create droplets from scratch and place them on a flower – how realistic does it appear? In theory it doesn’t sound too complicated but once you start, you find there’s 101 things to consider! Larger view will be more critical!!
