I am glad I did not stay at home on this magnificent autumnal morning. It was ever so beautiful out in our forests here. But stats don’t tell you everything. We’ve continued to receive feedback from people on how the RedBubble community is helping individuals rediscover their creative passion – and this is awesome! Your encouraging and supportive comments are powerful. And a short note on comments – the longer and more meaningful comments are the ones that people have found most encouraging. It makes people feel that others have taken the time to really study and consider their work – a sign of respect and a huge compliment! We’ve also received lots of feedback on how people would like to see RedBubble evolve – and we’re listening to this feedback. We’re not always able to act on all suggestions and even the suggestions we want to act on often take a while to make it out the door. So please be patient with us. Our philosophy is to listen and adapt. We often always launch things at a very early stage and then listen to your feedback to evolve the feature. Groups is a good example of this. We launched a very early version of groups and we knew it wasn’t the final destination. We will evolve groups over the next three months. A lot. The light on that November day had a special quality to it, due to the wonderful morning haze. This normally is just a little path for cyclists and horseriders here near Hilversum, with nothing special about it. But the veil of light changed it into an enchanted path, full on unknown mysteries. Would there perhaps be some fairy bringing happiness and health? Anyone who spends as much time on a Northeast coast beach as I do, knows that the light is different, the air is different and the ocean water is different in November, compared to the very hot sunny beaches of the summer season. The Stripped Bass begin to run south as the fishermen and gray storm clouds cover our beaches pretty regularly this time of year. On this day I captured this image just after we had a day of rain and it had stopped shortly before the sun dropped low to the horizon. This is an older image of mine that i always enjoyed but it was never as dramatic as you see here today. HDR software allowed me to give you a better feel of just what that day felt like on the beach.
