I finally decided to upload this design. / It sold out on laFraise.com so is now available here. / Enjoy!
I got bored this afternoon. I’m not familiar at all with this style but I don’t mind how it turned out considering.
Inspired by the Art Nouveau art period. This piece is a part of my Art Period Series. They involve photography and digital rendering.
Art Nouveau-esque Illustration
Wallflower / Available as a framed print, canvas print, mounted print and card Wallflower is a continuation of my experiment trying to achieve stained watercolour effect. / I owe some inspiration to Mucha’s flowery illustration style. / Wallflower is much richer as Mucha used soft colours, but with my love for rich colours and as the Wallflower’s feelings are intense, I had to go with the strong;) Image copyright © 2008 Shanina Conway. / Copying and displaying or redistribution of this image without permission from the artist is strictly prohibited.
My first attempt at creating an Art Nouveau print in the syle of Alfons Mucha. Produced using Painter X from a composite created in Photoshop. Model courtesy of mizzd-stock
The Grace Hotel is in York Street, Sydney. It was built in 1930 in the Neo Gothic style, was renovated to be a landmark hotel, and is Heritage Listed. I shot it on Sunday, 18 January 2009, at around 7.30am, from across the street. The rising sun was directly in front. The sky was shot from my front balcony on Friday, 16 January 2009, at around 6.30am. The 2 images were then merged in Photoshop CS2. On both occasions I used my Canon EOS 5D Mark II, handheld, and Canon EF 24-70mm f2.8L zoom lens. The building, which I have been wanting to shoot for a long time, was shot at 51mm, ISO 50 (for the detail), 1/100 sec at f4, in Monochrome, on the way home from another shoot. The conditions were perfect and the sky was clear. The sky was shot at 24mm, ISO 160, 1/4000 sec at f3.2, also in Monochrome.

Women in most ancient and modern cultures and major religions are considered “life-givers”. Here, a beautiful young woman is portrayed just as she teeters on the brink between innocence and her destiny, as “Life – Giver”. Suggestions: Friendship, Thinking of You, or Mother to Be Note Card. This is also beautiful, framed. Thanks to the beautiful model, Ilana Lu. ORIGINAL FOR SALE $650 plus P&H Shimmering irridescent dragonflies hover over rich red Waratahs. This is a dreaming mandala – specifically for meditation and contemplation. Its very simplicity is its power - if only we could remember that! We can circle our viewpoint and change direction at will. Never stuck, never immobile – no problem is too great if we simply shift our perspective.
Vecona, corset and masks. Always with the number 7. I was wanting the popular cabbage roses of the Victorian, but went with something more stylized. One pen was harmed in the making of this piece. ha ha Is that wrong to say? I do not care. ;) My piece for the Victoriandustrial groups challenge for the Masquerade. 8×10.5 / Ink. This image has been created using coloured pencils as a study for a larger painting. / I have been commissioned to do quite a large acrylic on canvas and have taken the inspiration from an art nouveau fireplace in the room where it is to hang. / I would appreciate your comments
