The Great Lobelia is a wildflower that prefers damp areas and higher elevations. It’s easy to find in August and September, but this plant was still blooming in October. The plant was once thought to be useful in the treatment of syphilis. / I took this photograph during a light rain beside a run-off ditch in Spring Hill, Tennessee.

I have many things nautical in my home.
