Ive noticed around here that there are quite a few photo manipulations. It makes me wonder who created the stock photography of the manipulation. I have only seen one person actually site a link to the stock images. I would like to see more people giving credit to the stock creators if they are not doing so already! When I don’t see people siting the stock images I either am forced to believe they created the stock, or don’t know that they should site it. I also start doubting the authenticity of their work. the bottom line is…don’t steal ideas! if its not 100% your ideas, please site the source. You can technically call it a form of plagiarisms when work sources are not sited. This obviously only applies to photo manipulations/ edits and such. thanks for listening! Pam

I have found with the incredible increase in members unless you sit here commenting, favouriting and adding to watchlists all day you just don’t get seen. / I don’t have time to do that so I just don’t get noticed by any but the people watching me. / It’s great that RB has grown so popular but geez it’s hard to get your portfolio seen unless you have absolutely awesome work that gets featured. Hello! As I’m sure you’re all aware – there’s a bit of an economic storm brewing at the moment. RedBubble is weathering the storm; below is the latest sales graph from 2 Feb 07 to 20 Nov 08 – things are still going in the right direction. However, we think it’s important to ‘shorten the sails’ and respond to the environment. This means we’re going to selectively increase prices on a few of our products. Namely t-shirts (in Australia), cards and mounted prints. The price changes will occur at about 1 a.m. GMT on 24 November – (i.e. at the end of this coming weekend – UK time). We’re providing this notice so you can take advantage of the old prices for one last weekend. T-shirts In Australia only t-shirts will increase in price to AUD25. RedBubble T-shirts are made in the USA and printed in Germany – and as all Australians will know the Australian dollar has lost about 25% of it’s value in the couple of months against the USD and EUR. We’ve ‘sucked up’ the currency loss – hoping that things would return to ‘normal’ but it doesn’t look like they will any time soon. So the price of a t-shirt will increase to AUD25 to allow RedBubble to make some money on t-shirt sales. Cards We’ve been making the cards at cost since they launched in 2007. Our thinking was to make a spectacular product and once they started selling like hot cakes we’d work out how to make them automatically. They’ve been selling like hot cakes pretty much since we first launched them, but despite our best efforts we haven’t been able to automate the production of the cards (they are all made by hand). So to date there’s been no return to RedBubble on any card sales. So that we can now make a return on cards the prices will be changed to: USD 3.32 / CAD 3.32 / EUR 2.27 / GBP 1.57 / AUD 3.50 Mounted prints We wanted a product that was positioned in between the price of a print and a framed print. We thought the mounted print would be that product – but the cost of gatorboard (the backing used in a mounted print) is very high. We’ve essentially been selling the mounted prints at cost for the last year so that it could occupy this mid price point while we tried to find a replacement for gatorboard with all the same high quality characteristics (light and strong). However, we haven’t been able to find a replacement. So we’re looking to introduce the following new pricing for mounted prints to enable us to make a return on mounted prints. __ USD EUR GBP AUD CAD Small 38.00 26.00 18.00 40.00 38.00 Medium 52.25 35.75 24.75 55.00 52.25 Large 71.25 48.75 33.75 75.00 71.25 We’ll still keep working on a process to automate the production of cards or a better way of mounting prints. And if we do improve our production arrangements we’ll look to pass this cost saving back to the community. Since joining RB and getting back in touch with my own creative soul and also being able to view and discuss and delight in the works of others …...I have started to become aware of something changing in the way I see and hear ‘things’ around me. I am sitting in my car at a carpark today and I was mesmerised by this tree with light dancing amongst it…...I got out and found myself taking pictures of it on my mobile phone!! This is not my usual modus operandi….and I felt connected to this tree that I took so much delight in. And what’s more I didn’t give a continental if I may of looked a bit odd in my behaviour. I have always been an observer of people that is true but this change that touched me today I found a healing quality to it. / Today I fell deeply in love with our beautiful world and it has given more encouragement to look for ways to keep it beautiful. I am aware about conservation etc…..this was a different experience today. / Today the world spoke to me in a way she has not done before…..or perhaps I have just been too busy, blinkered to notice. Free from the blinkers…..what a phenomena that is to me! I am writing this as a thank you to our blue opal planet. We really do live on a gem. / That in itself is inspiring…..don’t you agree? / Well that’s my little journal entry finished.

Hey you wonderful Bubblers, wow I cannot quite believe I am writing this, I will be possibly taking off a lot of my pastel art and watercolors within the next month or so, I have luckily been headhunted to have my art exclusivly promoted, by a top london company but unfortunately I cannot keep the pictures they are wanting on here, but of coarse I will still be doing new pastels and watercolors in the future and posting them for you all to see, a lot of legal stuff and agreements have to be sorted first, and this is a big step up for me, scarey really hehe, and nothing is concrete as yet. I will be given over the next few weeks a list of what pastels they want and which will be coming off site, but from what i gather they will be the main pastels on my first few pages in my gallery. I want to thank all who have commented on these pictures since i have joined redbubble last january, when i joined rb i never ever thought i would become an artist, and all of you have made me what i am today. I was looking for an appropriate song name for a photo i wanted to upload. What i usually do is type in the word that i’m looking for and see what songs pop up, often songs i forgot i had or i didn’t even know i had pop-up. Its interesting and over time iv made some amazing discoveries. My latest one which just struck the chords of my heart is this song by High Places called From Stardust To Sentience and its simply amazing. its now been on repeat ever since… the lyrics are just so profoundly true of what we are and who we are as people in this world. And art plays such a role too, its just puts things in perspective for me. It shows facets that we don’t actually ever see in life but tend to look over. Art finds the specks of dust that we overlook, we become aware, we become sentient of what we didn’t even know existed. / the lyrics: From small speck of stardust to wondrously sentient / Revolving and spinning in space / Waking and sleeping and yielding to gravity / It starts to show on your face Millions of forces of physics and providence / Teamed up and brought us all here / Waking and sleeping and yielding to gravity / Pointless to measure in years Out in the desert your thoughts are as clear as the stars / You feel golden / You’re billion year old carbon Simply beautiful aren’t they…. lovely thought… hmmmm Whilst driving back with a dear friend, one of my dreamy crazy hippie friends i realised how much of the bigger picture i have become aware of after becoming so involved with my art. I see things i didn’t ever see, i pick up little things that make up a part of the big things. Its amzing actually… its fscinating too. i love looking, and God forbid i go blind because my eyes are the windows to mind, heart and soul… / I am also constantly thinking of the obscure and profound, the things indirectly involved… like on that same night, on that same drive, my friend forgot to turn on her car lights as we had been prevoiusly driving in a brightly lit area. When we hit a place with no lights, it took a few seconds before she noticed we didn’t have our lights on. If she hadn’t picked it up, i wouldn’t have noticed, i was busy thinking, ‘where had all the street lights gone?”, not “our lights aren’t on!!”... she was also thinking the same thing… we both found this funny and laughed our heads off… typical us dreamy people… haha! but back to the point, i notice “unimportant” things that are actually important but deemed that by society who are so rushed and irate and serious that they need immediate gratitude and straightforward answers. / What happened to deep thinkers??? well they are here, wish id found you all earlier… LOL! art just brings out our profound brain, the “other” mind, the one that sees everything, even the specks… I have become internally conscience, my inner eye has been opened through art and now poetry and i have discovered a new state of being, the one that is made of stardust, the part of me i really love! :) Look at this artwork / inspired by this amazing song… you can listen to the song from their too (i highly recommend you should…!)

But lately due to a series of events in my life, I wanted to post that there have been many other people on this site who have nurtured me and inspired me and made my heart beat and tears come to my eyes, and Provided wonderful and sublime support for me as a writer, I actually was going to write Individual letters to each these three, then thought to myself, perhaps these letters / Need to see the light of day LisaJewel Lisa knew innately somehow that Biographyofred8 was the car / And I was the driver. Meaning that she completely accepted me / As a person with the right to not be conveniently slotted into the narrow / Definitions that our society have created such as the binary gender ones / From the very moment I began to post on redbubble, she accepted me and she also / Did what not many people know how to do, that is separate the art / From the artist. Or as writers, find that balance where a person can / Interpret their world by presenting it in a non-flattened form. Also she / Has nurtured me as a writer in / Ways that are not tangible, not solid to explain. I do dance along / The wayward paths, but when I read her work I do, for she is speaking / To me through images, emotions and frames (she carries around with her / These picture frames) and she is able to interpret her world in a visual narrative / Form that speaks to me beyond reason; meaning that for some strange / Reason I often feel as though she is a kindred spirit and perhaps she is. / That is not to say that other writers are not; but Lisa’s writing speaks to / Me in a way, that brings about a place and a time that steps out / Of the ticking of the clocks and the barricades. I just reported this issue to the support center about trying to place orders from your private bubblesite. I read an older issue someone else reported back in April of 2009 that was marked resolved and decided to test it myself as I have been directing clients to my private bubblesite and also found that a customer may not be able to complete an order from your private bubblesite! As this is a critical issue, any of you who have a Bubblesite may want to go over and try to place an order. I don’t know if it’s related to the OS or browser you use (I’m using Windows XP and IE7) but as customers come in to RB Bubblesites from all types of Operating systems and browsers, I think you should be aware of it as it may effect your marketing efforts. If you are a customer reading this please use this site instead of mymindseye9.redbubble.com to place an order until this problem is resolved. / Just go to view the art and click on the buy sell option box. Sorry for the inconvienience.
