at one am i get strangely artsy Little frames in pencil and red marker, i was on a ‘au revoir simone’ trip for the night. Lyrics from various songs: Where you go, / “you don’t know how much i like you when i think of you – where you go is where i want to be” / Lark, / “sometimes i want to be enough for you. don’t ask, know that it’s done no good – i dont know what you saw you saw there, i dont know what you saw in me” / Back in time, and / “there was times that i felt that this was right. how do you think this never work? why do you think this will never work?” / Stay Golden / “i’m only waiting if you stay – a careless bird is complicated, an empty nest still leaves a space.” written by ear, who knows if they’re right… freehandin’ oh oh / textures in photoshop

well, i made the decision, finally, and got my new laptop. after doing lots of reading & research I still had a problem, I really wanted to make the shift to a Mac. But a setup cost being so much more than a Windows based PC and wanting to keep “she who must be obeyed” somewhat happy. I opted for a not so pretty, but wonderfully powerful HP Compaq 6710b, a business notebook running Vista Business with 3GB of ram. Office 2007 & CS3. I also got it for a great price. If anyone wants a great lead on a supplier just Bmail me. :)

After many, many anger inducing & frustrating calls to HP they finnally sent me a replacement PC. Rather than spend 3 days reinstalling all my software & files I got one of my daughters boyfriends (A nIT guy) to simply swap the HDisks & memory over. So now it’s all systems go & I can listen to music as I Bubble away. :)

I found this book, I think it was for Science Class, in a room full of pupil’s work. There was artwork, notebooks and all sorts of other stuff lying in piles all over the place. This notebook was just sitting open like it is in the shot. I didn’t move it or anything. If you look at it in the large format you might be able to make out the words on the pages.

I’m excited about the fact that I bought my very first Moleskine notebook today. Well, I did say I was strange ;) I’ve never had a high quality journal before (I got the lined journal). I needed a notebook that could survive in my bag and I figured a Moleskine might be up to the challenge. Plus I liked the fact they have the elastic band that keeps the book closed. I looked at cheaper versions but I figured Moleskines are popular for a reason. The thing is it feels really good in my hands. The leather is very smooth and my fingers just slide over it. Such a pleasant tactile experience!
