Interview with writer Sometimes by StacyLee Sometimes’ writings have a way of captivating the reader. His words wrap around your heart, and you begin to feel yourself melt. Inspiring? Yes. But that word alone doesn’t do his work justice. I had the pleasure of interviewing the twenty-six year old in order to figure what goes on in this talented writer’s head. 1. When did you first start writing? / I can’t remember. I think it was in high school, I was a part of a band that I wrote music for. After we went our separate ways, I continued to write. 2. What or who inspires you to write? / I guess I am inspired by my environment, the feel of the moment, or whatever is current in my life. 3. How would you describe your writing? / I don’t think that I can really describe it at this point. It is still a work in progress, but I read somewhere a long time ago “know the rules, break the rules, make your own rules and break those.” That is kind of my motto when it comes to writing if that helps any. 4. Who are your favorite authors? / Saul Williams / Dr. Hunter S. Thompson / Ayn Rand / Toni Morrison / Ralph Ellison 5. Ever thought of trying to get a book published? / I have tried in the past to be published without any success. I plan to continue trying in the future but as of right now, I am more concerned with developing this style. 6. Where do you see your work headed in the future? / Hopefully, I will be published one day and once that happens I can focus on taking it further. 7. How has your experience been with RedBubble so far? / I love RedBubble. It’s like a million people baring their souls. I think it was Joseph Chilton Pearce that said that in order for us to live a creative life we must lose our fear of being wrong, and here no one offers any apologies for the way that they choose to express themselves. Everyone that I have come across has been warm, welcoming, and just awesome in general. 8. Is there anything else you’d like to share with the bubble? / I love to sketch and draw a little and as soon as I can get my scanner working right I hope to join the visual art community. I have been making continuous sales for a while now, [made some more today] and it makes me quite happy…but it means I will be thinking more of what buyers like as cards and prints and showing it on my pages… / / As a result, I have been deleting paintings on a regular basis…that being said, I would like to continue to show you, my friends, my many different styles of paintings….. so I’m thinking of showing them in the writing section, and I will include some info on the painting itself…colours used, type of paper, special effects if any, and so on..there will be subject matter of every kind… / I have been asked a number of times “how did you do that” or “what paper did you use”? / I have an idea for a series of articles called [so far] “Tales from an Artist’s Journal”, but I will do it only if there is sufficient interest…as some of you already know, it’s takes a lot of time and effort to write anything… / So if you are interested in seeing more of my other work and learning a bit of how I achieve the effects in some of the pieces, please let me know….Janis

I will address these issues raided by Dyle Warren, [SEE DYLE’s AWESOME WORK HER ON REDBUBBLE] DAYLE’S Questions and concerns I believe are the concerns of many so this is his bubblemail. / [I was wondering if you could answer a question about Africa that I have had for years. America and so many countries have come to their aid for decades and all my life Africa has needed help from other nations (CARE, UNICEF, etc.) because of disease and starvation. / Africa is one of the richest nations on Earth why doesn’t this country help themselves and tap into their own resources instead of having their hands out all the time? Don’t get me wrong, I am not trying to cause an argument but for the life of me I’ve never been able to understand this and they have had children starving for years. / Possibly you can enlighten me because honestly if a country won’t help themselves for decades and decades I find I have less and less sympathy for the country…..not the children. / Looking forward to your answer as I’ve never heard an answer for it… / Thanks, / Dyle] THE NEED TO HELP, AND WHY WE HELP. / The need for UNICEF, UNHCR, CARE and other organizations to help African countries is as Follows. These are only a few. / 1. Sickness and disease is killing millions each year. Famine, War and son on. / 2. African countries do not have the facilities or indeed the knowledge in some cases to better themselves. / 3. In certain African countries, Government does not have the money or the solutions to solve the problems. / These are only a few reasons why. Other reasons why US, UK and other countries contribute towards these countries is because other countries have a vested interest in gaining from these countries vast oil reserves, Gold, and other precious commodities, in return for humanitarian relief. Sadly world politics plays a part in who we help and how we help, and also what we get in return. WHY DO THESE RICH AFRICAN COUNTRIES NOT USE THEIR VAST WEALTH TO HELP THEMSELVES? / Many do invest in their countries infrastructure, economic growth and world trade. Nigeria, Uganda South Africa are just a few that do that. The problem is they often invest in oil production, gold, diamonds and other natural wealth. But Corruption, greed and favouritism among government officials have damaged this effort and much of the wealth goes into projects that do not help the suffering and extreme poor. War Disputes and other challenges have often marred good work. / Just like American or British members of Government, many loose touch with the real suffering of ordinary people, especially in deep rural and isolated villages. These members of Government are well paid and live comfortable lives. Few have ever experienced what it is like to have no food, or no hope of growing enough food. Most have never felt the pain of a mother watching her baby die, because she could not find enough food to eat, and her breast milk has dried up. / They have never lived in rural villages where the water they drink causes people to go blind, and others die in agony from intestinal worms. / They have not seen crippled children crawl on their bellies, because of diseases that could have been prevented. Many Government officials live in luxury, drive in government vehicles and fly first class, all paid by tax payers. Not all have lost touch, and do hear the cry of the suffering people within their borders. Others do care and know only to well the sufferings, but they are often discouraged and pressurised by senior members. / Loose and foolish words, years of tribal conflicts and cruel wars have all played a part in hindering their efforts in sharing that countries wealth with all its citizens. / I may seem very harsh here, but I have spent years working among the African countries, and experienced first hand corruption and self cantered projects. But in saying this, there are good People serving their people as best they can. / UNICEF, UNHCR and other World Governments have done tremendous work in Africa. Uganda used to be the most corrupt government in all Africa. This was a well known fact among NGO’s GOVERNMENTS and some smaller organisations. Now through Western Government intervention and help, Uganda is a thriving country. It’s Government has become stable and corruption has almost died. This has happened through United states, united Kingdom, DUTCH and other countries intervention. It still ahs a way to go yet, to reach its goals, but a great change has taken place. / Kenya is another African country riddled with corruption, yet it is changing through UNHCR, UNICEF and Western government intervention and pressure. So in short we do well. / STILL NEED FOR BETTER OVERSEA’S POLICIES. / One of the worst problems within western governments is its lack of wisdom and common sense. / Even today, American, British and other countries give Billions of dollars to African countries, via that African countries government. Here is the problem. Many spend the money on Business, and better world trade. But most do not invest in its people. While they spend millions on better roads and better airports, plus its military and other cosmetic projects, whole villages are wiped out through sickness and disease, Poverty. It is time for the western rich nations to look at better ways of funding the relief of suffering in Africa. Tighter rules need to be implemented and restrictions on how much they can spend on military budgets and Government officials salaries. / So you see there are a whole mixture of reasons why some African countries cannot or won’t give more of what they get from the rich west towards the ordinary people living in dire poverty. God Bless those who are honest and do what they can top alleviate the suffering. One of my biggest criticisms is the huge overheads and over exaggerated costs of SOME, not all of the big CHARITIES, NGO’s and well known relief organisations. What they need to remember is that most of their money is donated by businesses, and Ordinary people like you and I. They have no money of their own. It comes from Government grants , individuals and just ordinary people like us. Yet many receive over exaggerated salaries, and misuse the funds they have. UNHCR and others have donated 4 Wheel drives vehicles to many small grass root organisations, that do not need them, and use them for their own personal use. I speak from experience her, and have seen this for years. This is all money Tax payers have paid. Governments have used money for the wrong reasons.. Please do not misunderstand me here. I am not in any way saying all big organisations are in anyway like this. But they need to be held accountable to us here in richer countries. Not by fiddling the account books. They need to check on what is happening. The UNITED NATIONS needs to get their act together. They can do much better that what they are doing. Every department within the UN, need to improve. This is why I formed Philadelphia Mission in 1995. I returned from Rwanda and Uganda from Mission work. I wanted a Charity, build up of members who did not get a salary, or expense account. People who would work for the poor out of genuine concern and Love. Members who wanted to work hands on with the poor ,and live among them. This is what we do in Philadelphia Mission. Philadelphia Missions office is a converted room in my home. I don’t even own my home. Our Overheads are almost zero. All office equipment and materials are purchased and paid for by me and kind people who support our mission. / We use all money raised through donations, via our website, and any money raised through art that is purchased, to provide medicines, tools, machinery, training and projects that empower these people. / When it comes to making donations towards the extreme poor and needy, please choose an organisation where you know your entire donation is actually going to the poor, and where no percentage will be taken out towards that organisations overheads. If you want to cover overhead costs of an organisation, please ask to see the budget of what they received over several years, then look at the running costs and balance out for yourself if that organisation is using your money correctly. MANY BLESSING AND THANK YOU TO THE ABSTRACT DIGITAL ART AND WRITING GROUP FOR FEATURING MY ARTWORK & POETRY “HAUNTING MEMORIES ” . I AM SO VERY HONORED ! / HAUNTING MEMORIES / Haunting Memories As I sat by my window one night, / the moons rays streaming in so bright. / My thoughts went back to other years, / and my eyes began to fill with tears. / The haunting memories of a life gone wrong, / remembering the fears I had so strong. / Back then I did pray for change, / but felt it was so very far out of range. / I felt abandoned, lost and all alone, / did not think I could ever atone. / I had hit a bottom so dark and grey, / I could not find a reason to stay. / Then in a moment of utter despair , / I called His name and He was there. / In a burst of transcending spiritual light , / God reached out and held me tight. / Soothed my hurt and dried my tears, / showed me the way to face my fears. / So I then sank on bended knee, / and asked God first for forgiveness you see. / Then as days passed by and I trusted Him, / I found new joy growing deep within. / My life changed that hot June night, / when I was so full of fear and fight. / Today God is always by my side , / and never again will I need to hide Poetry By: Madeline M. Your ultimate goal is to live the life of God/Goddess abundance of wisdom and wealth, happiness, Love, Romance on one hand compassion, support to under-priviledged, Now! / 3. Check my Painting “Imagine now! Think Heavenly.. It exactly pinpoints the true vitues and important values, you have to focus now. / 4. Live the life of a God/ Goddess now by developing unconditional Love, Romance, Respect within yourself which will provide you Peace, Energy, Happiness and frequent Divine connection at least once in the morning and one in the afternoon. / 5. It is required to focus on those values 24×7 by visualisation so that it reaches your subconscious and auto pilot you for ever. You need to display close to your bed and your work place table for quick reminder. / 6. If you have a love partner ask them if they like those values and would like to develop further with you as a soul mate. If yes , give them a gift of another set of paintings. / 7. Make sure you have loving heart donate some money to needy ones.. / 8. Learn to humble and use kind words… no swearing …..Just say I love you… / 9. Learn to awaken first your “Inner Child” who resides in your heart and you never bother to talk to it . Satanic influnce which will tear your Loving relationship apart and drift in to the darkness. So the innocent partners undergo relationship problems and can not have real soul mate who loves , can be trust worthy, and settle down together to start a loving family. / 16. Life is a journey and treat your solemate as your close friend as well and express how you feel and give them day to day support. / 17. In a nutshell provide a service to your soul mate for being with you in thick and thin of life events / 18. Develop some of the common hobbies or intersts like Sports / Games or doing Yoga together first thing in the morning or in the afternoon. / 19. Please complement and appreciate your Soul Mate each other and have private time every week like, Daily Kiss time, laughing time, mutual massage, hugging and bonding. / 20. Be a kind, generous person and give gratitude and thank the God /Nature for what it has provided so far…Contentment is the greatest virtue… but strive for better. and a grea hope of another day to achieve more and strengthen your relationship.. / 21. Remain disease free for ever by Yoga. Do Yoga – Pranayama (breathing exercises), Hatha Yoga for body flexibility and Meditation for clarity of life purpose on the planet call Earth . / 22. Be happy in every moment in life irrespective of whatever happens and celebrate life with your Soul Mate. Here is a big plan to make each person God and Goddess on this planet Earth NOW! And to make sure that they have a Soul Mate for life in thick and thin of life events and this loving relationship will give great foundation to start a happy loving family which Love , Enjoy, live and support each other as a ideal family in which Dad and Mum and Children live as a true reflection of God , Goddess and lovely Angels on a Heaven on Earth NOW! This message is part of living life like a God /Goddress on Earth NOW ! called “Sunilism” which can be a relevant new contemporary global religion which has relevant instructions for our day today life and glues all the world religions together. All the religions of the world are great and are hundreds of thousand year old and but times have changed, global problems have changed, people are so busy but highly productive these days; they have got no time to read the holy scriptures and needs simple set of divine instructions for living their day to day busy life. “Sunilism” provides an answer, as it incorporate Body, Mind, Spirit/Live and nature integrated approach and is trying to explore those relevant instructions with help of you and all the people in this direction. Need your input so that we have some relevant & concise instruction in our time NOW! The people following “Sunilism” and of course all other sacred religions will be called as “Sunilist”. I do love all the religions and all people of the Earth equally and treat them as God or Goddess, irrespective of their faith or even Atheist are supreme to me but each and every one has universal need of love, Care, Joy and support.

Hello Guys, / As you know I believe in the empowerment of women and them taking charge for their lives and fortunes in life. / Too many times we have heard women say it was because of him that I am in this situation. / And not think that its because of her self that she allowed a situation to get out of control. / I believe that a woman’s body is her temple and no man has the right to control her life and her future. / This is a poem about a woman who said time to take control of my life! First I would like to take this opportunity to once more thank all those who support me and my work with your wonderful comments each and every day…it is such a fantastic morale boost…feedback on my written work is really valuable as it helps me to decide which articles resonate the most….it is also extremely gratifying that group hosts continue to feature my paintings… / To all those who are new to my work and who have placed me on their watch list, I am now configuring my gallery in a different way…the overview page now reflects the colours of fall, as that season is current where I live…you will see paintings that reflect the season, showing the colours and related themes of fall, but you will also see work that simply echo the wonderful range of gold orange and yellow shades that is autumn…work that you may not have seen before are now grouped together with new work and will be changed frequently… as a result the overview page will often show some surprising combinations…. / So from now on the first few art pages will be themed….that means new work may not always show at the top of the overview page, though I will try to keep them there as much as possible...
