  • Note from the writer / When reading this please read it slowly, breathing at each line. Slowly. / Read with intesity, and excitment, longing. / (will make more sense) This is something that I wrote last night and has touched my heart and everyone who has read it thus far. Please feel free to comment on this as it is one of my first writings. Must see in larger view! To make it easier here’s the writing. “In the stillness” / By Tamela R. Wall In the stillness, I wait / How long till I hear your voice? / In the silence I wait. / Eager for the voice of the Lord. / You are always with us. / Through the noise of our daily lives. / To the quietness of our sleep. / You are always there. / So I wait, / Sometimes it is hard to be patient and wait. / The devil is always trying to tempt us and keep us from hearing. / To wait. To pray. To listen. / Silence. / What is it that you are trying to tell me? / Maybe I’m listening to hard. / Or maybe I’m not listening at all. / Focus. / In the stillness, I wait. / Then when I think that you have nothing for me, / You speak. / In a still small voice. / You speak. / Though as I listen closer. / Your voice isn’t so distant any more. / It’s growing stronger like the thunder, like a mighty rushing wind. / It’s closer now. / Like you are right beside me. / I am listening Lord. / Your message is simple yet powerful. / You says nothing. / I breathe,I wait, then it hits me. / Sometimes the thing you need us to do is wait. / To show us the things we are missing. / Be patient, be content and wait. / Prayerfully, silently, waiting. / Until you speak. / In your time, in your way & your will. / You begin to show me things through others, / through their words, / their actions, / and their attitudes. / You teach me. / You teach me to listen and to be ready. / For one day very soon, we will have no warning. / We must be ready. / We must be waiting. / But while we wait we are to share. / Share the news of your salvation. / I rejoice O’Lord. / My soul cannot stay still. / I must shout it to the world. / I must share. / I must wait. / I must be ready. / I must pray. / I must let the world know that there is still hope. / You are the way. / You are the truth. / And you are the life. / You never promised that the road would be easy. / You just promised that I would never have to go alone. / So hear I am Lord use me. / In the stillness, I wait. / For the glorious return through the eastern gate. / I wait. / For that homecoming day, / I wait. / For on that day you will call my name. / I will shout from the mountains that I have waited and I am here. / So in the stillness, I wait.

  • / Strawberry tart is the second in the series “Delicious”... Watercolour on Sennelier Not Paper… In the description that accompanied “Blueberry Tart” I referred to the work of a famous American artist called “Wayne Thiebaud”, who stated that his subject matter came out of a genuine experience from his life, from the American world, in which he was privileged to be. He went on to say that it was the most genuine thing which he had done. His subject matter is a commentary on the abundance that is a part of American society and the longings and desires ( e.g. all those cakes in a row) that go along with it. Like Thiebaud, this new series is definitely a reflection of my particular experience… it is at once a commentary on the richness of our culture and at the same time a reflection of my daily life… in addition to being a painter, I spend a lot of time in the kitchen… my belief is that since I have to cook to feed my family I had better do it well, (I have an abhorrence of wasted time), so to that end I have almost as many cookbooks as art books, in fact I have a collection of several hundred cook books… I have mentioned before, that there is a peacefulness, a feeling of rightness when I sit down to paint food… although all painting brings me pleasure, there is a special joy when I paint food… it is as though it is what I was meant to do ... The strawberry is rough like a slave’s arduous life / Vermillion, green, and fuzzy like an inscripted pathway / It tastes like the first candy bar in a child’s life / It looks like a cold soda on a hot summer day / Sounds like the Sirens decepting voice J. Macgregor / (Click image to link)

  • A mask of plastic happiness often covers her sadness / Her real beliefs hidden from most / Afraid of, but willing to face the unknown / Wondering where her place is in this life / She has come close to sharing herself / Never completely revealing anything to anyone / Feelings of invisible chains corner her / When she dreams, reality shatters before her very eyes / Accomplishments she strives for just at hands grasp / She feels lost sometimes, not yet finding her niche in this world / At times the glimmer in her calm eyes slowly disappears / But within her heart a silent flame burns her inside and out / She roams day by day, playing roles / Strength unknowingly resides in her / History repeats itself once again / The translucent veil she so proudly wears / Little by little answers will come, pushing it aside / One day there will be no more mask for her to wear / One day her beliefs will be known / One day she’ll know her place in this life / One day she will share herself / One day this mask will be no more~

  • There’s a building in Norwich (UK) that appears to be entirely covered in writing! If you view it larger, you can have a read! Unfortunately it’s a bit disjointed (I only took shots of a couple of sections) but I think you’ll see that the writer had rather a lot of things on their mind, seemingly about society at large. Random thoughts? Or did they have a particular agenda in mind? Taken with a Canon EOS 450D. Featured in Urban Art and Beige is Death!, April 2009. Featured in ImageWriting, May 2009.

  • Please read this. [Taken in natural light] I am an Irish born missionary adn Photographer. I also am founder of Philadelphia Mission a British registered charity. My Passion and inspiration comes from a heart touched deeply by Gods Love. Sara is one of 16 children with rickets in this small village. Ungwa/Fada village is certainly one of the poorest I have seen in Kebbe state. Chronic malnutrition, River blindness, Diarrhoea, Intestinal worm infection and the inability to grow enough food have made a big impact on their health. Rickets is a disease caused by Lack of Vitamin [D],. Many children are malnourished and their body does not absorb Vitamins D. C . B. A. We have however through donations made via RB members purchased a water Pump, and now they can irrigate their fields. But they still need fertilizers, tools and good quality seed to grow better food. A Bore well is urgently needed to stop many of the diseases and sicknesses they experience. ALL MONEY RAISED FROM SALE OF MY ART, DONATED ART AND DONATIONS MADE VIA OUR CHARITY WEBSITE, GOES TO HELP THESE PRECIOUS CHILDREN. WE TAKE NOTHING OUT OF WHAT YOU GIVE TOWARDS CHARITY OVERHEADS. WE ARE NOT SALARIED AND COVER OUR OWN TRAVEL EXPENSES. SO ALL THAT YOU GIVE GOES TO THESE CHILDREN To make a donation, or find out more, Please visit our Charity Mission website: http://www.philadelphia33.org/ Camera: Canon EOS400D. • Going through a low point in the “imaginative perception” of art, the world seems to look inside itself and find nothing to love… to then, look outside and find nobody worth the time… at which time, looking back in, here’s this train to Spain, and France, and Alps, and Melbourne, Tokyo, North Pole, San Fran and other imaginary realities of our desires, all cut in bite slices for the ease of mind… Mind blowing this abstract world. And yet, we keep trying to make sense out of the no-sense-at-the-first-glance holographic reality. Written today, 7 September, 2009, with the clear purpose of confusing further the left side of the brain. / Confucius was quoted here today for the first time to have said: Confusion is good when it leads to nowhere… but heart. Now, for those who reached this point of my writing, here’s a bit of musical reward for the pain of reading all above. / Oh Carlos, your heart is on your sleeve and the sleeve rubs so beautifully against my heart. Not your taste? Sorry, this one doesn’t come unsalted. —-

  • Old Letters ‘still life’...and a subliminal message to get your oldtime pals to send you a letter versus an e-mail.

  • PLEASE READ THIS. “This was the exact moment in time when the Power of almighty God and his great compassion and love, touched a dying Child”. Taken in Kaban Muslim village in Nov 2008. I was ministering in the village along with several mission staff, and a mother brought her almost dead child to me and asked for Prayer. As I held the still body of this little boy in my arms, my thoughts went straight to Jesus. I spoke to teh Mother and all around me that the only one that could save this child now as Jesus. I said I will pray in Jesus name. There were a few unhappy elders around, but decided to agree that I should pray in Jesus name, just to see what would Happen. This was the breakthrough. Kaban village is a Muslim village and under Sheria Law. I simply laid my hand on the child and commanded life and divine health to enter the child and that God would fill this child with his spirit. In Jesus name I prayed. Instantly the child because to move his arms and legs and began to cry. I told the mother Jesus had healed her son, and to take her son and breastfeed him as he was hungry. All saw the Power of Jesus and was witnessed by all in the village. Others then came and many were healed and some openly give their lives to Jesus. others followed us on our way to Ungwa/Fada village and received Jesus in private. Jesus is alive and works in and through his people. He loves you, and that is a fact.
