I am an Irish born Missionary living in London I spend much time living with the Kambari tribe, I get to know first hand the challenges they face each day just to survive. I also have the privilege of capturing not only hunger, sickness and often death, but the more happy occasions. This is Grace, and when I first met Grace in April 2007, she was suffering from Chronic Malnutrition. This was taken in December 2007, and the difference is wonderful. Philadelphia Mission a British registered Charity [Reg No:1049410] depend on People like yourself, who donate time in Prayer and Finance to help us provide help and support for Grace and many others like her. Please do Pray for these precious suffering people in extreme poverty and for us as we press on in our mission to help them. I belive in the power of Prayer and a mighty God. I am most proud of this shot so far in my short time doing photography. This image incorporates my passionate nature with my love of the ocean. I used to lobster fish with my Dad and so the ocean holds a lot of dear, and not so dear LOL, memories for me. I almost froze my hands off doing this. It was snowing a little while before I took this shot so you can imagine close to the water, with a breeze, how cold it was. However, in the name of love and romance, anything goes! LOL

Quite a while ago, a lovely and passionate woman, a wondeful writer [yet not many know this] – wrote a story and asked me my opinion of it. Immediately, after reading it, and wiping the tears from my eyes [no, not kidding], I felt totally inspired to create. We both agreed that I should create my vision image from her story, and it has taken a long time to get there. / / The image vision was instant, but getting it onto a digital image the way I wanted it to look, meant I had to learn certain things. 3D rendering for one [I have practised that on other, previous images], I had to get my merging flawless, and of course, I had to go get the shots I needed as well, and then I could start the work. / / Then this pain in my hands started up, which slowed the process down even further, but today – I managed to finish the piece, and send a preview to the beautiful writer – she approves, and wants it posted too – so here we go. / / If you have not read this story – Please, go and read it before you have a good look at this image. It will let you see this image for what it is, you will see things in it after reading the story, that you probably won’t see if you just look at the image on its own. / / The Story is called The Greatest Gift / / and was written by the very talented ECGardner / / Enjoy it!, Its worth it I promise. / / Hope you like what Erin and I created together here. / / Main background image was taken on a Welsh Redbubble meet at Kenfig Pool in May 2008 / / I have been inspired by many works, and many artists, and have done tons of collaborations, but nothing has ever inspired me such as Erin’s story did
This photograph of Angelena was taken at our Mission centre at kujama Village, kaduna State, Nigeria. / This young Girl inspired me so much. Her young life is an inspiration to me of how faith and hope can carry us through difficult times. Angelina is 12 years old . She is one of the children we have been caring for for the past three years. When we found her three years ago she was close to death and without Parents. Three years later she is loved and attends school. We can and do make a difference to children in extreme poverty and sick. All it takes is Love and a heart of compassion to sow a little time and money into a child’s life and you will see the transformation. Angelina was dying from malaria when we first saw her. Now she lives a full life. She says she wants to be a doctor and help others who are sick. God bless her and all who helped us in helping her. 100% of all proceeds from sales of my art ,donated art, and donations made via Philadelphia Mission Charity website, goes to help extreme poor in Isolated and Rural villages in Africa. This work was inspired by the wonderful poem UMBRELLA of the very talented artist ANAISNAIS / Thank you Anna-Marie for let to share this beautiful poem here. ’’ UMBRELLA / / by Anaisnais There she stands / Centre stage for all to see / Tall and slender / Precariously she balances. I reach out for her / Draw her to me / My hand skims her body / Slowly reaches her skirt. Playful fingers find hidden areas / Delighted her legs spring forth / Displaying the very beauty / Of her delicately placed, adorned skirt. Gaily she dances around / Dizzily twisting and turning / In the brightness of day shading / She gently tends to my needs. Personal ballerina takes to toes leaping / Merrily bobbing up and down / As emotional to her performance / Clouds cry a thousand tears for her. Reaching our destination / Slightly shaken, she leans / Watches me, / Quietly drips, against the wall. Reminiscent of the day’s fulfillment / We acknowledge one another, silently / Restful knowing we shall be / One, once more. ’’ I truly appreciate all your kind comments and support. / All Origional art work can be purchased through the artist. —-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-——- Copyright notice: / All rights reserved.
