Oil Painting on canvas (24×30 inches) The Cape Buffalo is one of the most dangerous animals in Africa. And one of the most interesting to paint. Mean, tough and unpredictable, even lions are wary of taking him on.
This illustration was created for an identity (logo) design but never used. No bullshit. Makes a pretty gutsy looking t-shirt though. There is a camel and a lizard created in the same style if anyone is interested.

Two textures from the FAC group (textures from cgtextures.com), combined with an original photo of a hammered metal heart against a hand-dyed yellow cloth. I duplicated the water texture twice and adjusted opacity and blending modes on all four texture layers (3 water, 1 plaster). I also duplicated and resized the heart, used selective coloring, dodged and burned. Finally, I added filters from Flaming Pear (aetherize and melancholytron) and Topaz.

This Painting is of a Working Trial Champion Australian Shepherd, she was the sister of my first working stockdog her name was “Catdog” she is shown working working her stock with great skill / The stockdog trial is a competition to showcase the natural working ability of the breed through the use of certification for challenging trialing disciplines on several classes of stock (ducks, sheep and cattle). This very cute little Australian Shepherd on late late afternoon is showing very strong herding and working ability, pushing a loose sheep back into the flock. The sheep of course had a different idea in mind, its what you might call a CLASH OF WILLS but we all know the little stock dog will win in the end. / Original Oil painted on 11” X 14” stretched canvas created in my Grants Pass, Oregon Studio / Been Viewed -1038 views / Featured in: / Mans Best Freind / Painted Dogs Group / Best from around the Barnyard
