This is a photo I took from this past nesting season; a fledgling bluebird landed on a branch near my patio and was chirping merrily. Young bluebirds are speckled and big-eyed and very curious about the new world they’re discovering daily since leaving the nest. They love to frequent the birdbaths and just hang out with their siblings while Mom and Pops start nest number two or three of the season. They’re just learning to find their own food, so frequently they still look for handouts from their parents. It’s not uncommon to see a young bluebird with its beak opened in wide expectancy when Mom or Pops lands nearby.
The sound of Awakening / (Captured with a Canon 5D + 16-35L II lens) Since my mother is a Yoga teacher she asked me if I could take some interesting pictures with a tibetan singing bowl for her. So I went all the way up to the “Roque de los Muchachos” (La Palma, 2400 metres above sea level). In Buddhist practice, singing bowls are used as a support for meditation. / When I was looking for an interesting perspective, I found an interesting bush with the mountains being in the background
This is yet another shot of the swan that used to live t the local park in Wrexham North East Wales before the RSPCA moved him
for my friend Terri… Singing Skies And Dancing Waters / by John Denver So many years ago, I can’t remember now / Someone was waiting for me. / I had the answers to all of my questions. / Love was so easy to see. / I didn’t know. / When I was younger I should have known better. / I thought that nothing was new. / Through all the spaces in all of the changes / The one I lost sight of was you. / I didn’t know. I didn’t know. I could see you in / Singing skies and dancing waters / Laughing children growing old / And in the heart and in the spirit / And in the truth when it is told. My life became shady and I grew afraid / And I needed to find my way home. / I just couldn’t see you. / The thought that I’d lost you. / I never felt so much alone. / Are you still with me? / Somehow in reason I lost sight of seasons / Tides rollin’ out rollin’ in. / Sometimes in evenin’ when daylight was leavin’ / I though I’d never see you again. / Are you still with me? / Are you still with me? I’m with you in / Singing skies and dancing waters / Laughing children growing old / And in the heart and in the spirit / And in the truth when it is told. If my faith should falter and I should forsake you / And find myself turning away. / Will you still be there? Will you still be there? / I’ll be there in / Singing skies and dancing waters / Laughing children growing old / And in the heart and in the spirit / And in the truth when it is told.

This began with an extremely foggy morning….and I was in awe of the quiet and the beauty that surrounded me as I sat there listening to the Pheasant in a distance…listening as they got closer and soon they were here…..I listened as they sang that sweet song that I have in my memories, and their graceful bodies silhouetted against the cool damp fog…...they came in very close this day and it was as if I was invisible to them…..I could almost touch them as I sat there in the stillness, just me and them, nothing else mattered – life was good! shot in Anderson, Ca 2008 / /

Celebrating diversity is something that should be valued and respected at all times. It is important to cultivate a deeper trust that truth will emerge from conflict, or from a situation when we are least expecting it. This I experienced myself today. I feel as if something that kept a cloud over me most of life, left me today and I feel different…........ I feel brand new - Especially For You May 27th 2009

Ruby hangs like rope / In her world of make believe / Wide eyed and sixteen / Withdrawn from all the vermin / Now dreams are all that matter ...
The imagination is a wonderful and very powerful thing and when I was sixteen I discovered that I could use it to escape reality altogether and to create whatever I needed, someone who loved me unconditionally and a place of safety, as a means of survival. Somewhere over the rainbow / Way up high, / There’s a land that I heard of / Once in a lullaby. / Somewhere over the rainbow / Skies are blue, / And the dreams that you dare to dream / Really do come true. / Someday I’ll wish upon a star / And wake up where the clouds are far / Behind me. / Where troubles melt like lemon drops / Away above the chimney tops / That’s where you’ll find me. / Somewhere over the rainbow / Bluebirds fly. / Birds fly over the rainbow. / Why then, oh why can’t I? / If happy little bluebirds fly / Beyond the rainbow / Why, oh why can’t I?
