Digital Illustration using PS CS, around 20hrs. Sept 2007. Dedicated to so someone who made life pretty hard this year for a while someone who is known for telling people to “shit or get off the potty” without actually doing anything himself. To this person I give a most classy two finger salute in a way that is more then self explanitory. :P Anyone who has worked their ass off and given it their all in the face of someone who is a total meglomaniac telling them they can’t for thier own reasons of insecurity or whatever will totally relate to this im sure!

Recently there’s been a spate of crocodile attacks here in Australia. / / Just last weekend, 11 year old Birony Goodsell was dragged underwater by one and never resurfaced. / / If feel deeply sorry for her and even worse for her family but for crying out loud, she was swiming in our most dangerous state, in a place called Black Jungle Swamp. / / That’s just asking for it. / / So now authorities are setting traps to catch and kill these so called ‘menacing’ crocodiles. / / Fair enough but I think it’s important for all of us to remember that we don’t own this planet. We share it with millions of other species and we have to learn and teach our children to respect them and their rights. / / I’m doing this art to present the lighter side of these primordial creatures and point out that they aren’t menacing. Growing up in the 70’s with friends that were professional musicians was an amazing experience. / My friend Richard was more or less a self taught guitarist/vocalist and he seemed to excel at it. When we would hang out there was always one or two guitars around and Chrad ( Richards nick name) would have a new song he learned or something new to teach me. / It wasn’t until recently I realized my foundation for creating art came from those days when Richard and I were “Just sitin doing shit” Everyday in the studio is like every other day except for what I bring to it. The most I can expect is what happens and that’s usually better than yesterday. / 18×24 oil/pastel on canvas

This was my neighbors best friend, Max (on the left). Sadly, he died of old age shortly after this was shot. I was so pleased I had taken the time to capture his essence and my neighbor was thrilled.
