  • Fear and Despair is a series of works based on the basic human emotion of fear, while touching on depressive moods. It explores the concept that spirits live among us and that their presence can be felt in the physical world, often manifesting as deep and powerful emotions. There are numerous references in the work, the grays, who appeared in the previous series A boy and his monster. Nosferatu’s version of Dracula. The Hatted Hunter, who appeared in the previous work The Relentless Pursuer. And finally Zombie who is a reoccurring character, best known for his appearances in the works Trinity of the Self and The Weight of a Heavy Burden. Nosferatu is pretty much the beginning of horror in film, with his grisly face and awkward walk. I wanted to nod back to film industry and how it often influences the design and imagination of modern day society. • 4 FROM MY NEW SERIES ‘THE GLOOMSBURY GROUP’. Watercolour & ink on A3 185gsm watercolour paper. Inspired by that creepy Nosferatu & an old Mitch Miller song.

  • This turned out a bit more demonic than I originally intended, but what the hell. I originally planned out a sort of midnight background with a moon and bluish color scheme, but then I decided it would be better if the sky was filled with fire and he was standing in water that reflected the sky. Thus, a very demonic vampire illustration was born. Enjoy!

  • I couldn’t resist poking a bit of fun. Vampires are a great mystical creature, and individual undead like Dracula, Louis, Lestat have impressive fan followings. Heck who doesn’t enjoy a good Vanhelsing inspired tale? But even vampires in the Buffy series and these others all have something in common. They aren’t wearing glitter!
