I took this shot in Bateau Bay, which is part of Central Coast New South Wales Australia. Roughly 2 hours above Sydney. I love the glow of sunsets in wet sand and this, broken by the rocks, formed a scene I just had to capture!

Valle Crucis Abbey is in North Wales. My father was born in Wrexham and I love going to Wales. The hills have to be walked over to truly appreciate them. I often use ink and watercolour, but here I am trying ink and gouache. For those who are interested, this is A3 size (29.7cm x 42cm). Taken today 27th Decmeber 2008 A stunning series of waterfalls located off the A5 between Betws-y-Coed and Capel Curig. North wales, England Swallow Falls I set the camera on a tripod and experimented with the shutter speed, I used a high density filter x4 that I bought from ebay, the filter lowers the light similar to a polerizing filter, this ment I can open the shutter for longer periods of time and the image will not be too bright. panasonic dcm fx18 / focal length 15.4mm / 2.5 seconds shutter / f 8.0 / ISO 100 / HD x 4 filter / black and white

Just got back after 3 days in North Wales…two days of utter pish and one day of decent weather. This is my first offering…the little gateway that marks the start of the ascent to the imposing Tryfan Mountain in the distance. North Wales how I like it….mean and moody with the odd burst of bright sunlight :) Canon 400D + Sigma 10-20mm and Lee Filters

Another pic from the mountains in the Ogwen valley, Snowdonia…...loved this little wooden bridge…..even if I did haveto wait a frustrating 30 minutes for the tourists to dissapear and the light to come out again !

Another pic from my recent trip to North Wales. The beautifull Pass of Llanberis winding its way through the valley floor at the foot of Snowdon. Would have liked a bit more light and some nice purple heather…but you can’t have everything! It wasen’t raining at least ;) canon 400D sigma 10-20 and ND grads Thankyou everyone for all your support and comments of recent uploads, I really appreciate it :) x x

Lenora Brown said I should never have stopped doing pen and ink work, so I have been inspired by her comment and have done one. This is the first pen and ink drawing I have done for some time. It is the church my grandmother attended in Johnstown, near Wrexham, North Wales.
