Taken at Happisburgh on the Norfolk coast. Unfortunately it was too cloudy to capture the sunrise :( / Got a handful of shots that almost justified getting up at 5am on a Sunday!
Taken from the Kett Heights viewpoint overlooking Norwich. Oh, and with some complimentary added effects :)
Image taken in my village of Lingwood, overlayed with texture from a local church.
Thurne Mill in the heart of the Norfolk Broads.
Early morning on the Norfolk Broads, England. The glowing sunlight on the mist up ahead, where the river narrows, makes one eager to discover what beauty lies in wait around the next bend. / /
This is a watercolour painting painted with windsor and newton watercolour paints on Bockingford watercolour paper using only 2 colours- Yellow Ochre and Sepia in glazes to get the tonal effect of a Sepia picture. / Harleston Path is on the Norfolk and Suffolk border in the UK.
The table mirror in front of me is for getting a better view of the roof without having to look up. I thought it would really add to the pictures to include it. The blue tinge on the stone was the result of the sun shining on the stain glass window behind me.
The National Trust-owned Horsey Windpump overlooks Horsey Mere, an internationally renowned site of special scientific interest. The Mere (from the Dutch word meaning “lake”) is an important site not only for wintering wild fowl but also as the home to a colony of natterjack toads. Canon EOS 20D; EFS 17-85mm lens Exposure of 1/50 second at f/18.
Herringfleet Mill can be found where you might least expect to find it – about twenty yards on the Suffolk side of the Norfolk/Suffolk border. Given Norfolk’s monopoly on spectacular, well-preserved mills, it seems only fair that neighbouring Suffolk should have a few of its own…although it should be noted that even this mill is officially in the Norfolk Broads. This photograph was taken on an extremely February day. A 13 seconds’ exposure captured the movement of the clouds as they raced across the East Anglian sky. Canon EOS 5D and EF 16-35mm lens. Exposure of 13 seconds at f/22.
A field of sunflowers in Ranworth, Norfolk. Made for, and dedicated to someone special – they know who they are!
Happisburgh Lighthouse in Norfolk, UK.
Taken very close to where I live.
The eastern archway of St Benet’s Abbey on the marshes of the Norfolk Broads. 30 second exposure and partially lit with set of blue led lights.

Taken at the Patterdale end of Ullswater with Norfolk Island enshrouded in early morning mist. EOS 20D, Canon 17-40mm (L)

I haven’t done a lot of textured stuff recently so thought I’d have another go. This is Happisburgh Lighthouse in Norfolk (again), this time taken from close up, peering out of an evening fog. I’ve always loved lighthouses since I was very young, and used to believe that they secretly communicated with each other in the dead of night. My mum used to say that being a lighthouse keeper would be my ideal job (and I think she was right!) Featured on the Featured Art page
The old sea defence structures at Cart Gap, Norfolk. 30 second exposure.
