A lone sail boat on an inland lake in The Netherlands, which was created by closing off the sea at both ends of an island in the Dutch Delta region.

A photograph of a windmill known as the Adriaan standing on the banks of the Spaarne river in Haarlem, the Netherlands. It was built in 1779 and stands on the remains of a medieval tower of the city wall. Originally it was used to grind tufa, bark and shells, it had been turned into a tobacco mill in the 19th century and a grain mill even later. The mill burne down in 1932 CE and has been recently restored back to its former glory.
