Sunshine / / / The world gives me reasons, / To shout, scream and cry, / But the Sunshine always, / Make my worries go by. The Sunshine is like an angel, / It touches me through me Soul, / It gives me reason to smile, / Makes me complete on the whole. The Sunshine is like a sound, / It synchronizes the music in me, / I get great cause to celebrate, as, / It lets my spirit free. No matter its day or night, / The Sunshine is always there, / Making the shrewd world around, / Look pretty and fair. My Sunshine is soft and gentle, / Its snug and soothing too, / It snips my sorrows off me, / My Sunshine, dear, its You! -Composed on 13/05/07……….. Special dedication to Aayush and Ankit! / With great Love… Manisha By: Manisha Sharma / /
Picture was taken last year during my travel 250 miles away from our home! / I always enjoy being in the farm or field like this, watching birds, chickens, carabaos, cows, and goats playing and eating!

Upper Antelope Canyon at noon, Page, AZ The canyon is accessible only by guided tour, lead by Navajo (the land is owned by the Navajo). The tours require reservations, best made in advance, and it can get crowded. The guides do a marvelous job of keeping the groups separated with only one group per gallery at a time. The stories the guides tell of the land, the discovery of the place… are as interesting as the place itself. Flash floods have been known to occur here, so it is best to avoid monsoon season, and stay with your guide at all times. A tripod, plenty of battery power (backups!), and a wide zoom are a must here. Speaking of backup batteries, it is a good thing I followed my own advice, because just before I took this shot, my battery died. The 20D was still new to me then, and I wanted to see how many shots I could get from one battery. I still remember the look on the guys face next to me when I said to myself “uh oh, dead battery!” Canon 20D, 17-40 f/4L, tripod

FOLK PARK STREET SCENE The Folk Park adjoins the castle and aims to show what everyday life was like in rural Ireland about 100 years ago. It contains reconstructed farmhouses, cottages and shops, and care has been taken to make them as authentic as possible, particularly with regard to furnishings. The Park is a living museum : animals are tended, bread is baked, milk is churned, walls are whitewashed and roofs are thatched. You may visit an Irish farmhouse, watch the blacksmith fit a horseshoe, attend a weaving demonstration, and bake and eat scones at the local tea house. The village also reflects the fundamental changes that led to increased mobility.

I painted this pair of paintings for a forthcoming charity show “The boys in blue” at the Artshed in Hertfordshire. All the paintings in the show have to be 16” x 16” and they should all include some blue somewhere. A walk at midnight / A walk a noon /

Ordinarily the gravel spit below Salem’s pedestrian bridge is a family place. One afternoon though it was filled with tension as angry young men jostled for attention, but did not quite come to blows. Transparent watercolor on 140 lb cold-pressed paper. Approximately 8×10 inches. This painting was created entirely by using the mask and pour technique. Featured in Students and Beginners, 12/18/24.
Angry young men, hot sun, tension, but no fight. Transparent watercolor on cold-pressed paper. Painted using a mask and pouring technique much like batik.
