  The centre of this scene is where Steve Bracks and the Victorian labour party has nominated to build a desalination plant to supply Melbourne with water…not only the aesthetic beauty of a coastline that has attracted hundreds of thousands of people every year and welcomed locals home for over a century to be altered for ever… but the environmental impacts of such a development is not wanted…... / As usual governments would never get away with such developments in places such as Port Phillip bay or Brighton beach…Do you ever see wind turbines in such politically crucial or affluent locations or in the the premiers own backyard ? ? ?   The old railway trestle bridge on the beach at Kilcunda – was the site today of a protest in rejection to the Victorian state Labor government’s proposal to build a desalination plant on this coast to supply Melbourne with water..
