The Owens Valley has numerous petroglyph site. These petroglyph’s may have been made by the Paiute/Shoshone Indians but arrowheads that date to 10,000 years old have been found in this area, so it is difficult to say who really created them. Moonlight Falls in the High Sierras. Because of a very stormy June there is so much water in the Sierra backcountry which means 3 things: 1. The waterfalls are absolutely fantastic right now / 2. The wildflowers are better than I have ever seen / 3. MOSQUITOS. Like you couldnt even imagine! It is pure torture back there right now!
