  • One morning in our hotel room in Shimoda, my wife went hunting for green tea in the fridge. I noticed her shadow cast against the shoji and asked her to pose. I love shoji for their ability to create privacy whilst giving the illusion of space through light..

  • I shot about 60 frames of this wonderful old pumping tower at the dam end of Sayamako in Japan. Hand held, but I think I got it..

  • A Japanese Mandarin Orange peeled & split open in a man’s hands. As far back as I can remember my family always had Mandarin oranges at Christmas time. Just the smell of one of these oranges takes me back to Christmases of my childhood. MY BUBBLESITE

  • My last shoot of 2008 was with my ever wonderful friend Debz :D / We decided to go for something less green, allthough I don’t think it really worked lol. We wanted to make a very colourfull, almost rainbow like set of images. I think that there are other images that depict this well but still…it’s all for a bit of fun really.

  • This is actually an antique Nippon hot cocoa set. Wealth women in the late 19th century bought the blank porcelain sets and then hand painted them as a craft. Soft pastel / Original painting is 9×12 / Acid free paper

  • You have already learned what the “Flylands Series” is about…....(there is a description in “Gate-Traveller – Flylands No1). So this one shows us a Japanese part of the bursted Earth….a lonely Geisha watches out for other survivors, she hopes the eagle might have a message for her! She carries the light which is necessary to put all the flylands together again, in order to form the entire planet new. This light is kept in the antique Japanese lantern. But at the moment, there is no way for the Geisha to leave her little flyland!..... to be continued
